Chapter 11

I got the sudden urge to wake up. My head was killing me, it felt as if my head was throbbing and pulsating. I shut my eyes aggressively and hear Ace's voice in my head speaking to me. I can't think of anything else.
Luna.
I know it's currently almost 3 am earth time and you're fast asleep. I need you to know that Juniper and I headed off to our hometown in Mars because somehow Mortimer knows we're here, we won't be staying there for long we're just gonna make an escape plan. What I need you do to is if some random stranger knocks on your door you should answer it. It's either Mortimer or one of his workers, and if either one of your family members answer it they will posses that body, but if you answer you will be able to distract them. They know of you and wouldn't hurt you. I have set an ear chip for you that will allow you to come up with distractions to distract them and quickly answer their questions to make them go away. Look at your vanity desk.

His voice was gone and I felt mixed emotions, scared, worried, stressed. But I knew what I needed to do. I set an alarm for early in the morning so that in case they do show up I would be the only one awake. Ace trusted me and I didn't wanna disappoint him. This could give him and Juniper some more time to get away, find a better hiding spot and come up with an escape plan quick. I lay back down and tried to go back to sleep, but my mind was distracted with questions, wondering when and if I'll see them again, if somehow Mortimer has his ways of finding them, if they'll ever be able to see their parents again. My stomach was growling really loudly so I got up quietly and gently made my way downstairs to get something to eat. I opened the fridge to find leftovers, more leftovers, half a carton of milk, and an apple. I needed to get more groceries. I grabbed the milk and some frosted flakes we had in the pantry and put them in a bowl, then I went ahead and sat down on the couch and I watched some That 70's Show.
The doorbell rang and it startled me, it was then I realized I fell asleep on the couch. Mortimer. I remembered. I instantly got up and rushed to my room, grabbed the chip and inserted in my ear, I heard it connect to something but I don't know what it was. I didn't have time to think, they rang the bell again as I was running down the stairs.

"Coming" I yelled
I flung the door open, standing in front of me was a tall, bald man, he looked about 42 years old, and 6 feet tall, he was wearing an all black suit and sunglasses to shield his eyes.
"Good morning ma'am" he started, his voice was very rough and gravelly
I have never felt so uncomfortable and scared at the same time, my heart was pounding so fast I thought that he could hear it
"Morning" I responded
"I work for a businessman.. Sebastian Arquette, he has lost both of his children, a female and male, the male is older by three years and the female attends Crestmont Preparatory High school. They go by the names Logan and Lilia, have you happened to have seen them?"
Ask him to describe our looks more. The chip in my ear says, it sounded like Ace
"Can you please give a better description of them?" I ask the scary man
"Logan has black hair and black eyes, he's around 5'9, and Lilia also has black hair but dark brown eyes, she's 5'5. That's about all the information I can give you miss."
Say you don't know us but you might have an idea where you've seen us
"I don't know who they are but I might have seen similar people you've described maybe it's the same boy and girl"
He crossed his arms on his chest waiting for an answer
Say you were on vacation in Boston and you saw two people who look like us
"I was on a trip to Boston and I saw two children who might be them"
"Boston?" He asked "Mr. Arquette didn't say anything about Boston, he was sure they were here in Indiana"
"Well Sir I don't know, I'm just a seventeen year old girl so do you please mind, I'm trying to have a lovely breakfast with my family"
"Alright then. Sorry to bother. Have a good day" He said and walked away
I shut the door behind him, I can't believe he bought that. I hope Ace and Juniper are gonna find a place to hide and fast. I wondered how to reach out to Ace to tell him his plan worked perfectly.
