"Has this old hag ever heard of mints? She sure could've used a couple," complained the lustful reaper, wiping from her swollen lips her latest Death kiss.
"You do know you don't have to kiss each and every person you kill, right?" replied Cato in a bored voice, rolling his eyes.
"Where's the fun in casting spells and throwing potions when you can just suck the life out of those vermins?"
Cato shook his head in disapproval. "There's no fun in ending someone's life, Amy."
"That homophobic little shit disowned her own son for coming out as gay! Kissing a girl being the last thing she did is pretty fair, satisfying and punishing if you ask me... Although it was pretty torturous for me. Yuck!"
The greedy reaper chuckled. The pair had gone out to reap the last 20 souls of the day, the hospital now raided and death-free thanks to the team's effort. They were now walking down the secluded alley to which the now deceased 'Old hag's house lead.
"Who's next?" asked the red-lipped beauty.
"Danielle Mercier", replied Cato, checking his reaper's checklist. "Bullied an innocent boy and drove him to kill himself."
"Ohh I am going to drink her soul drop by drop," smirked Amaya, hatred and disgust plastered on her face.
"Tut tut tut! No you're not. Her death can't be labeled as cardiac arrest or seizure. She's supposed to die from drowning. She's captain of the swim team, and should start practicing in about... two minutes."
"Two minutes you say?Hmm..."
As Cato turned around to see why his partner was slacking off behind him and try to figure out what she was thinking about, a cluster of black wings knocked both himself on the ground, and the air out of his lifeless lungs. Jumping back up on his feet, he caught sight of the flying raven that Amaya looked like whenever she let her wings out. Still a bit dizzy from both falls this girl had caused him, he hardly managed to hear the melodious laugh of the stunning creature furthering from him and dissolving into the night.
"Race ya there, grandpa!"
Laughing at the childishness of his fellow reaper, Cato deployed his similarly black wings, and with a flap of the things, he launched himself into the darkness of the night, failing to catch up to the Raven's swift pace.
"HA! I beat your ass, AGAIN!" cheered Amy, as she leaned onto one of the columns that decorated the school's gymnasium where the pool was, looking at the breathless Cato that now stood before her.
He glared at her. "You cheated. You had a headstart AND the advantage of having just fed."
"Excusat, Excusat," replied Amaya with a typical Latin accent, dismissing the loser with her hand.
Cato rolled his eyes.
"Whatever you say, missy," he said as he started climbing the stairs of the gymnasium, hands behind his head, "we both know I could've easily beaten your ass, hence why you decided to grant yourself a headstart".
"HEY! That is SO not true!" shouted the now fiery reaper, storming after her partner with her petite figure."Fine! You want a rematch, you little baby? You'll have your rematch!"
The greedy reaper chuckled, trying to maintain a fair distance between him and the sinfully good looking creature behind him, his mind and thoughts out of control.
As they reached the top of the stairs and opened the door, the two reapers were hit by an overwhelming stench, which made Amy pinch her nose, and Cato squint his eyes and furrow his brows in a calculating and questioning way.
