you
you leave me still,
frozen and
you bring me back
to everything i knew
a thousand times
and even with your memory
you still take my breath away.the way the rain would fall
like we were the only people it wanted to fall around
and i was okay
and i could feel my heart in my chest
my heart that beat steadily
as i kept a brave face
and i was happy
and a little strange
but it didn't matter
because i knew my place.
