it's been a week since jiwon's interview, and jeon jungkook could not find an assistant.
he has been searching for one for exactly five weeks and three days. jungkook was usually patient, but too much time has passed. he was in definite need of a helper.
"i don't know what to do. we've seen seven women already jungkook, seven women! you need to stop being so judgmental about them and pick! i bet you that most of them had no intention to sleep with you." jimin finished his argument and sat down.
jungkook sat in his chair, with his hand rubbing the sides of his chin. he began to think who in the world could be the perfect assistant.
"and i'm only going to let you choose from those seven, alright?" jimin said an irritated tone.
jungkook sighed at said, "what about that park girl? uh-park jiwoo? erm, oh! park jiwon! park jiwon!"
jimin smiled, not physically but mentally. "would you like to hire her?" he asked with great hope.
"i mean, she looks like the biggest seductress out of them all. but she had good qualifications as an assistant. so i'd have to say ms. park." jungkook said nodding.
jimin softly grinned and stood up, "i'll contact her right away sir."
jungkook nodded once more and jimin left. jungkook contemplated whether he made the right choice or not. he had reasons to think jiwon was a seductress.
jiwon had an amazing structure, he wasn't going to lie. her face was also charming. she had a sweet smile and big brown eyes. her hair was so soft and carefully put together. her voice was also pleasant to hear; it was soft, but can also be loud and stern.
but jungkook promised himself to never fall in love again.
ever.
meanwhile down in the lobby, jimin excitedly contacted jiwon about the exciting news about her new job. he smiled as he dialed her number and the phone rang.
"hello?" the female asked softly.
jimin froze for a second, but quickly snapped back to his senses. "hello, miss parker?"
"yes, this is she." she said politely. jimin's heart warmed up at her polite words.
"hey, so i don't want to talk all formal with you and stuff, it's jimin. can we meet up? it's very important." he asked.
jiwon hummed. "oh, erm, of course! yeah, uh, where?"
jimin recalled a small café near his apartment. "i'll send you the directions to a café that i love. see you!" he said excitedly.
"see you jimin." jiwon hung up. she smiled widely and sighed out of joy.
she got ready; she put on her make-up, a dress with some flats, and did her hair.
she retrieved her purse from the couch, and headed out. she walked to the café since it wasn't very far from her apartment.
as she walked closer to her destination, she couldn't help but feel nervous. what would jimin want to talk to her about? she pictured his smile that gave her butterflies, and his soft blond hair.
she finally entered the café and spotted the small man on her left, waving his hand in the air.
"jiwon!" he smiled warmly and giggled to himself. jiwon grinned at the sight of his face and sat in front of him.
"so, do you want anything? i can get you a coffee or something." he asked courteously. jiwon looked at the menu and said, "an iced americano would be nice."
jimin smiled and stood up, "of course. i'll be right back."
a few minutes later, jimin came back with a glass in his hand. "here you are." he set down the glass in front of jiwon. "thank you jimin." she carefully took a sip and swallowed in delight.
"so, the reason i asked you to come today was because one; i need to tell you something about work, and two; i wanted to hangout with you!"
jiwon giggled i his last few words and looked up at him.
oh, her smile, jimin thought. he admired her beaming smile and her comforting brown eyes.
"so, the work thing. mr. jeon, or jungkook, wanted me to inform you that," he paused to dramatize the moment, "you got the job!"
jiwon gasped in surprise and screamed, "really!?"
jimin nodded and laughed. "w-when do i start?!""actually, you can start tomorrow. well not can, you have to start tomorrow." jimin stated.
jiwon giggled and took another sip of her coffee.
they stayed at the café for a near hour talking about their lives. they found each other easy to talk to. they felt that they could easily tell the other their biggest troubles or their worst fears.
in the middle of their conversation, jimin got a call. "sorry, it's jungkook." jiwon nodded in response.
"YA!" jiwon heard from the other line. jimin jumped slightly and caught his phone which almost fell. "y-yes. uh huh. yes, sorry about that. uh- sir." jimin set his phone down and sighed.
"he got mad at you?" jiwon asked sympathetically. jimin nodded slowly.
"i have to go, i'm sorry jiwon." he apologized. he put his phone in his pocket as he stood up.
jiwon did the same, and sighed. "it's okay jimin. i understand." they stood there for a while, in silence.
suddenly, jiwon hugged jimin, welcoming him into her embrace. "bye, jimin. i hope we can see each other again." she let go, not wanting to, but because she had to.
"well, we have to work." jimin chuckled. "oh, right." she laughed back.
jimin waved his last goodbye as he walked out the door. he didn't want to leave her, he wanted to stay in that café forever and talk to her about the littlest things. he wanted to hear her sweet voice and look at her intriguing features.
but unfortunately, he could not.
his boss was waiting for him at the office, furious.
