(how would you guys like Hinata's view while Naruto tells the story?)

(also omg this is the longest chapter, its my apology for being so bad on updating. its 3,852 words btw.

Naruto felt his hands shake as he stared at the young women in front of him. His throat felt dry, and when he tried to swallow some of his shock down, he couldn't. A hot prick of metal threatened to escape. The silence of the darkness with the faint echo of the flickering light emulated the two adults, who couldn't even speak to each other.

Their minds turned blank on them.

Hinata suddenly stumbled as she stared at the young man, her heart beating too fast, and almost instinctively Naruto grabbed her arm, pulling her close to him. Her head knocked into his chest as they looked at one another.

The last time they were even remotely near one another was almost ten years ago.

When the incident was revealed, and the start of the pain Hinata felt in her now mended heart. Pulling her arm back sharply, her eyes went from wide and shocked to narrowed and filled with poisoned hate. "I had a slight suspicion it was you."

Naruto looked to his side and breathed in heavily. "Everything I said was true." he murmured as he desperately tried to control his voice from wavering. He wouldn't cry in front of her. Never.

"Really? You aren't being dared by someone? You aren't having an ulterior move? You-," She was cut off suddenly as Naruto whipped his body back, his eyes suddenly blazed with anger. Hinata forgot how tall the man was, and a sudden panic ran through her system as Naruto placed his large hands onto her shoulder. A faint blush crept across her face.

Because no matter how filled of hate she was to the blonde, she has to admit his very presence made her feel unnervingly vulnerable.

"I... I was so stupid. Hinata." Naruto's eyes flushed out his anger and had a glossy, hazy look over them. Hinata looked into the blue eyes that she admired for so long, and let her hate subside as she began to listen.

"I realized I was never in love with Sakura. In a small amount of time I spent with you, I knew you were the person I loved. And I hurt you. I hurt you so badly, it ate me up inside. I am not letting this chance slip away, Hinata. Hinata, please. Please... I'm so sorry. I'm so incredibly sorry."

Hinata stood stone-faced. Naruto felt a sheer panic run through his body as not the slightest bit of emotion escaped from the indigo haired woman's face.

"May I speak, Mr. Uzumaki?" She coldly said and ripped her shoulders away from his hands. Mr. Uzumaki. She being formal. She's giving distance.

"Please... please don't call me that."

"It is only polite to do so, Mr. Uzumaki. May I speak."

"Okay."

Hinata turned around, making her back face the cerulean eyed man, who waited for her words with the utmost patience. Moments escape into the conception of time, and finally, she spoke. Her fists shook. and Naruto felt tears slowly come down his eyes.

"I fell in love with you almost sixteen years ago. I was eleven years old when I fell in love with you. Yet I was too shy. Too naive. So when you told me you felt the same for me, I thought it was a work of fate. I was in love with you."

"I-,"

"Shut up. And when I learned it was all a trick, that shattered my heart. I couldn't even think, I was in denial. Just a sorry won't let me forgive you. Let me tell you, Mr. Uzumaki, I have harbored nothing but the utmost hate for you. You destroyed my ability to trust. I was struggling for years, and finally, I reached peace. I don't need you. So please," Hinata looked back slightly, and her eyes met Naruto, which was filled with dull pain and shock. "Please, leave me alone. I don't want anything to do with you." With that, Hinata began to walk away, her heels clicking on the stone patio beneath them.
