Chapter Nine

Realised that my parents left me behind I hugged my knees with the dreaded note near my right foot, my eyes feeling swollen from the crying I have been doing, the house looked trashy and rushed. I didn't know what to do, I can't live on my own. And I didn't want to stay in this place any longer, I rushed to my room and grabbed multiple bags with clothes and books and personal stuff that's close to me.

I went to the backyard and looked at my treehouse one last time and climbed up the ladder, I grabbed photo frames and extra objects inside, I walked back in the house and grabbed my bags, my shoulder getting the dead weight from one bag sling on each other. And my school bag along with it, I had one option which was Kawaii~Chan's house. I felt a little embarrassed to carry my bags while I walk on the footpath.

As I stepped upon her porch my arms gave out as all my bags dropped onto the floor, I messaged my shoulder and knocked the door, Kawaii~Chan opened the door and looked at my bags placed on the concrete floor. Then looked at me and bit her lip awkwardly, looked down with guilt and shut the door in my face.

I gave a loud sigh and again grabbed my bags and walked further away from her house, as it started to rain the droplets were falling on my figure as I was walking, as it was getting more brutal I ran by to the nearest tree to get a small bit of shelter, I regretted my decision on leaving the house but I didn't want to stay there any minute longer.

I hugged my packed bag and leaned my head on it and my eyes started to flutter shut. Lucky it was the weekend for the next morning, I rubbed my stiff next and damp from the rain pour, next thing you know it I was attacked by a fluffy chow chow licking my face. I giggled as I tired to get away from the slobber, as the dog calm down I checked the collar.

" Why hello Cutie, your name is very unique... Now who's your owner? "

" CUTIE!? CUTIE?! WHERE ARE YOU GIRL?! " A familiar voice ran through my ears.

Cutie ran back to two feet with dark denim jeans, I looked up and saw Zenix bending down and petted Cutie by the ears, she ran back to me with Zenix following her. He looked at me in shocked and my state that I'm in, he gave out his hand to me to get me up back on my feet.

" Y/N, what are you doing here, and what happened to you? Why do you look like that? Were you here the whole night? " I couldn't reply but just bursted in tears, Zenix started to panic.

" Woah, woah, woah, why did you start crying?! What's with girls and their crying... Uh this isn't helping, I mean, Y/N d-don't cry, just tell me what's wrong... Ugh how do you girls say in this situation " I laughed in response and wiped away my tears.

" Uh, I guess I can say I ran away from home, my parents left... If you know what I mean by that, I thought going to Kawaii~Chan's house was going to help, but she just shut the door on me, I guess now I'm homeless? " I said the last part like a question. He just stared at me and blanked out for a moment before he came back to reality. Cutie was just looking between the two of us.

" Um, I guess since Cutie likes you I'll help you, you can stay at my house I don't think my mom would mind, come on, I'll help you with your bags "

Zenix put back Cutie's leash and grabbed one of my backpacks while I took the rest and walked back to his house, it looked very modern and new. He opened the gate to his house and walked around the back of the house to unleash Cutie. She barked happily and pounced onto a bouncy ball.

Zenix opened the back door and let me in, his mom was setting up breakfast and saw Zenix and me, her expression was shocked and dropped her frying pan that contained scrambled eggs and oil which is now all over the floor.

" Zenix, did you bring a girl here to our house? Excuse me young man, SQUEEEEEE! Why didn't you tell me you had a lady friend besides Sasha, ooh! What's your name? Where are you from? How old are you? Do you like scrambled eggs? Oh my goodness I didn't introduce myself! I'm Zenix's mom, are you hungry?! My goodness you looked like you were in the rain yesterday! Ah! This is all over the place, clean yourself up and we'll get to know each other over breakfast "

She grabbed my hand and rushed me to her bathroom. And shut the door, the door then reopened and gave me a whole basket of products. She was so fast that I wasn't able to say thank you. As I finished my shower I changed into comfort clothes and walked back to the dinning room, food was set on the table and the floor wiped up.

" Come honey, take a seat " She gesturing me to the table with Zenix next to her. I sat myself down and put food on my plate.

" Okay, Zenix told me what happened, I guess it would be pretty hard to stay in that house, you can stay here as long as you want, what do you think about Cutie? She's very adorable isn't she? Some people say that I was the one that called her that but did you know it was actually Zenix that gave her the name? " She gladly exclaimed as she pinched his cheeks.

" Mom! Why did you tell her that? "
