Chapter Twelve

{Continuing from last chapter, Y/N's Point of View right after the incident}

" Sometimes I don't understand you Y/N, first I leave you alone. Next thing I have to save you from the herd " Zenix brought me to the drink taps and set me on the floor.

" I was doing just fine, plus I was helping Kawaii~Chan, she was getting hurt by Blaze. Of course I was going to help " I spat my answer to him, I crossed my arms at him and lightly kicked his leg which caused him to hiss in response.

" Y/N, how could you not see it? Kawaii~Chan shouldn't be considered a friend of yours anymore- " interrupted " Well then, why? " " Because she doesn't want to be your friend anymore! How can you not see that? She just randomly stopped being your friend at your worse time... Especially when you needed a place to stay, if she was your friend she would've let you stay! " He shouted at me, I didn't believe him.

" Kawaii~Chan is a my friend! She's probably going through a tough time right now, that's all? " " Y/N, I'm saying this for you, not to anyone else cause I'm not soft but- " Zenix turned his head rapidly left to right to see if anyone was around.

" I love you Y/N and I'm only saying these things to not come any harm to you, not love love. But I care for you, so please listen to me, you have to leave Kawaii~Chan be for now... If you really believe she's your best friend... Then I can't stop you, but please, I don't want you to get hurt " Consuming me in his arms like a big bear hug. I couldn't help but wrap my arms around him back.

After school, Zenix and I were silent until we got to the house, my sadness faded away as I saw Cutie jumping up and down at the sight of us, as we got inside and set down our bags Zenix's mom greeted us while sitting on the tv watching a movie with a bowl of popcorn in her touch. I rushed to the backyard to get to Cutie, she jumped on me licking my face, I giggled and petted her, Zenix was behind us. Watching both of us and shifting to being busy on his phone.

Cutie was eating dinner and got back inside to change into home clothes. And sat down at the dinner table to eat. Not much words were splurged out unlike other nights, finishing off dinner I sent myself to my room to complete homework I got for today. After an hour I got a knock on the door, I twisted the doorknob and opened the door to reveal Zenix holding two mugs.

" Hey, I was just wondering if you want to have something to drink? " I will have to admit tonight was pretty cold and was extra tired for a Friday night. I nodded and handed me a mug with hit chocolate. " Do you also want to go outside, it's the full moon tonight, I usually watch it with Cutie, want to join us? " I nodded again and grabbed a jumper before heading out to the backyard.

What I forgot to mention that they have a hammock at the right angle to see the full moon beautifully with no other objects in the way. We both sat down next to each other lightly swinging back and forth and sipping the warm sweet drink. Cutie walked walked up to us to jump on Zenix's lap and her head resting on my lap.

" So, you and Blaze huh? What's going on between you two, he doesn't seem to like you at all... hmm pup? " He teased with the nickname I got given, I punched his arm lightly " I don't know, he was attacking Kawaii~Chan I was defending her, but something's off, apparently they have business? Between one another. Like for one class with Dottie she was fighting with this Michi girl. And with Blaze it's Kawaii~Chan, and Kawaii~Chan hangs out with this orange hair dude " I pointed it out while counting my fingers.

" I think I know the guy, but yeah, just recently too. But I guess it's best not to get into it. But you, keep getting into it " He said the last part with poking my forehead. I giggled and got a little flushed, I looked towards the stars shinning brightly in the clear sky. " This is much better than watching the night sky all alone, it's nice to have company " Zenix agreed with my statement.

Zenix's mom came in to check on us. " How are you guys doing okay? " We both said yes to her question. " If you need anything I'll be in the house watching a movie. Make sure you both don't stay up to late or else I'm going to ban you from seeing Cutie, and I mean both of you... Have fun! " She went back inside with an evil laugh.

I fully laid back on the hammock being in uncomfortable position. With Zenix following my action, I started getting sleepy while watching in silence. I couldn't help but lay on Zenix's shoulder with Zenix having his arm around me. With Cutie getting off the hammock and going back to her little bed. Bringing my legs to my stomach making me look like a ball, my eyes drifting to sleep. I didn't fully go to sleep but heard Zenix's voice talking to me while he thought I went to sleep.

" I mean what I said Y/N, I don't want you getting hurt. And I won't leave you like everyone else, you can even lit a building yet you can come back to me and my mom, we'll always have your back. I'm not lying when I say I love you, with all my heart. Some reason I feel like I need to protect you, I guess like a guardian angel?... I mean I've lost someone before, I'm not planning to lose another. "
