" I'm actually really glad that you're here with us Y/N, I didn't have the chance to have another child, Sasha is a really good friend of Zenix and I love her, but it's just nice to have a girly girl in the house, you know what I mean? Someone that I can spend my time with. I mean Zenix doesn't have a lot of girl friends that are female because of particular reasons "
Tonight me and Zenix's mom were having a girls night, right now we were in the kitchen making macarons, while Zenix was in the living room watching on his phone with his earphones in his ears. As we piped out macaron biscuits onto the tray and put them in the oven and set the time, we sat down on seats while drinking cups of hot chocolate.
" Maybe we can watch a romance movie, I know Zenix doesn't like romance as much, well obviously because he is a man " I nodded to her next activity and she spoke once more.
" It's been a while since Zenix made a new friend, he's very cautious on who he is friends with. When he was younger, and when we weren't living here. We were living next door to a couple and a little girl, pretty sure the same age as Zenix or a year younger, not so sure, but Zenix. Zenix was so different back then, he treated her like a little sister, amd protected her like a big brother at the park. Hm I'm still giggling at the memories of those two. But then we had to move which made him really sad, and got really distant from her, there was this thing about her that made him treat her that way. Maybe he knew that he was meant to protect her... He hasn't treated any other women the same way as he did to you "
My heart ached at the story, I took another sip of my hot chocolate as Zenix walked through the hallway to the kitchen scratching his side which lifted his shirt up a bit. He took a sniff of the atmosphere like a dog and looked in the oven, he bent down in front of the oven and he watched them like a child watching someone make chocolate bars. Then looks at me and his mum.
" What's cooking? Or should I say baking? " His eyes filled with excitement.
" We are baking macarons and they aren't ready yet, they just got put in the oven "
" Hey Zenix can I talk to you for a minute, it's nothing that bad, I just have something to tell you, come on " She looked right in my eyes but her voice directly to Zenix, he hesitating but then nodded and walked out the kitchen.
" We won't be long Y/N, we'll be... Right back " She stood up from her chair and walked away and disappeared into the hallway.
I tapped on the counter with my fingers and finished my hot chocolate placing my cup in the sink. I heard muffling noises in the other room and I stared at the oven and watched over them so they don't overcook or burn the house down, I looked around the house to distract myself, I looked outside to see Cutie look back at me and stuck her tongue out and ran into the darkness. Hearing footsteps coming back to the kitchen, Zenix and his mom came behind me which made me get chills up my spine and started to fill my body with worried.
" Y/N don't ask what I'm going to do next but just accept it " Zenix struggled to get the words out of his mouth it looked like he was going to cry.
I was surprised when Zenix just surprisingly hugged me from behind letting his arms rest on my shoulders hugging me tight I was confused my hugged him back by resting my hand on his arm. His head burying in my hair refusing to let go anytime soon. Zenix's mom doing the same thing and hugged both of us.
I didn't question them but allowed them to hug me as I hugged them back. I knew it was love, my heart was melting. And I never wanted this moment to end, but then the timer on the oven set off and had to stop hugging, I grabbed oven gloves and took out the tray and let them cool. Zenix was sent to the living room so he doesn't mess up the decorating process. We took off our aprons and took our done macarons to the living room table where Zenix set up a movie, which was a comedy.
" But me and Y/N were going to watch romance " Zenix's mom said in a sulky voice with a pout.
" But I wanna watch with you guys now, if we play romance I can't watch it with you then " Zenix's mom crossed her arms but then agreed to stay with a comedy movie.
It was in the middle of the movie I felt myself starting to get sleepy, I didn't notice myself landing my head on Zenix's shoulder, he took a blanket next to him and placed it over me letting me fall into slumber.
Then felt myself getting lifted up and walked to my bedroom to set me down on my bed, the covers were pulled over me and had someone lay next to me, they were speaking. It was Zenix, but his voice was so faint I couldn't understand anything but was able to only understand his slight singing.
