Gradually Falling

Pancakes?

A loud ringing ruined my sweet slumber. I used my pillow to cover my ears to lessen the loudness of the ringing sound.

Seriously?I didn't set my alarm last night.And I also put my phone's notification on silent. I turned to my left side and grumpily removed the hair covering my face. I looked at nightstand and saw my phone vibrating insanely and loudly ringing. I took my phone and looked at the screen and saw Andrew's face flashing in the screen. I swiped the end call button and get back to my dreamland.

"Auby!!" Zach knocked at my door like there is no tomorrow.

I hurriedly sit up with wide eyes.

"What the heck is the problem people?" . The loud knocking stops tentatively . "Please I need to sleep" I said putting the blanket over my head.

I felt the door slowly opening so i removed the blanket blocking my sight.

"Wakey Wakey Sleeping monkey!" Andrew said carrying a tray with coffee and 3 blueberry pancakes stack neatly with a butter and maple syrup on top.

"How did you get in?" I sat on the edge of my bed, feeting dangling from the cold floor.

"Got the keys from daddy yow" he smiles cheekily. He placed the tray in my desk and sit comfortably on my chair. "Wash your face and brush your teeth before touching the food, okay?"

I rolled my eyes and snatched my towel at the back of the chair he was sitting in "Yes mom!".

After cleaning myself up and changing into a new pair of clothes I got out of the shower, readily to eat my breakfast.

I looked at my desk and saw a piece of pancake and the half way full coffee. I glared at Andrew and raised my eyebrow, but he was too busy scrolling his phone. I hit his shoulder ,which makes him winced and finally paid attention .I point at my food and he just shrugged and continued to his business.

"You should thank me that I left something to eat" .I gape at him. Unbelievable.

"It's my food" I informed him.

"Yah Yah Yah Whatever"

I tear a piece from the pancake and plopped a piece on my mouth.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him

"We are going somewhere" paying attention to his phone screen

"Where?" I flicker of excitement burnt inside me.

"Somewhere over the rainbow" he tucked his phone in his pocket and sit properly fixing his sight in me.

I rolled my eyes.There is no way Im going to win in this stupid childish arguement. Well its kinda fun.

"With?"

"With everybody" he stand up and march out of my room.

"Who's everybody?" I asked

"Na-ah ah. We don't have any time for your questions now Monkey. Hurry up and be ready at 10, And pack your extra clothes.

After packing my things in my bag and checking it multiple times making sure I pack the first aid kit and my emergency food. Who knows maybe some happenings may happen.

"Where are we going?" I asked as I went down the stairs bag in hand.

"Really?Didn't moved on from that question?" Drew chuckles.

"Okay kids I think its time for you to go" Dad suddenly speak from the kitchen table , he was checking his emails on his laptop. I looked at him confused.

"Dad?" I fold my arms across my chest and glare at him.

"What? Live a little. Enjoy life" He laughed after giving me a sweet smile. I hugged him and murmured "Thanks".

"Thank you so much Sir!" he smile and gave my dad a fist bomb before walking in my direction and taking my bag.

"So, let's go monkey; let's not make them wait for too long"

"Huh?" And this thing makes me more confuse.

"Okay bye guys! Enjoy the trip!" Dad yelled as we open the door.

We got out the house and I saw Andrew's car parked in the sidewalk.Nobody was inside the car so ,maybe we are going to fetch Nathalie from her house.

"So, mind telling me where the hell we are going?" I stopped on my tracks and looked at Drew.

"We.We are going on a camping trip" He pulls his glasses from his pocket and cooly wear it like hollywood star.He put my belongings in his car's compartment.Wierd I don't see the camping gears and any things from the compartment.Hmm,maybe Nathalie got the camping gears and equipment.We both entered the car.

Its been along time since I went to a camping trip, the last time I went on camping was when we are still with mom.We enjoy the nature and the peaceful surroundings, its like I feel peace
in my self when Im outdoors and Im away from bad vibes.

"Okay, Buckle up!" We both put our seat belts on and hit the road.
