I can feel my heart pounding and the wind rushing pass me. My pulse quickens and I feel tree branches whipping at my exposed skin. My muscles ache as I push myself to go faster. My breath comes out in short and heavy gasps. My body screams at me begging to rest but I resist the temptation.

I hear the heavy and loud footsteps behind me slowly gaining. The soft crunch of twigs and leaves is the only sound in the silent forest. Panic swirls around in my chest. My dress gets caught on the branches slowly ripping the black and green cloth away. I furiously push the bark away in my desperate attempt to get away.

I suddenly tumble down a rough hillside. I scramble to get up and continue running ignoring the blood gushing from various cuts and scrapes.

Clouds between to roll in creating gray and black shadows in the sky. Rain slowly starts to drizzle down, getting harder and harder until everything is drenched. The ground becomes a muddy mess, splattering me with dirt and grim.

I slide through the mud as blood slowly trickles down the side of my face from a cut on my temple. I climb and leap over the jagged rocks desperately trying to get to the bottom fast enough. The man behind me copies my movements as he continues to pursue me. I feel sick to my stomach and my head is dazed as I run on autopilot. At the bottom there is a stream with freezing and rushing water.

I splash through it to the other side and rush forward knowing my home isn't to far away now. I reach the last patch of trees that separate me from safety. I dodge the branches as I keep moving when suddenly I'm tackled into the mud. I kick and scream trying to escape but it's useless, my capturer is too strong. My head is slammed into the ground multiple times causing me to lose focus and black spots appear in my vision.

My eyesight comes back into focus to see a man of about 25 with dark brown hair, a short goatee, and dark blue eyes pinning me down. I gasp as I recognize him. He is a nobleman's eldest son who heritaged his father's land on his eighteenth birthday and also tried to court my older sister.

"Hello Ms. Phoebe" he says with a sinister grin.

"A-Alexander, what-t a-are you doi-i-ing?" I stutter confused. He chuckles evilly and there's a maniac gleam in his eyes.

"What does it look like? I'm getting revenge on your sister for rejecting me and what better way than to kill her precious little sister?" he whispers in my ear. I freeze as fear courses through my veins and I gulp. I than start to scream.

"Shh, don't scream so much baby or you'll damage your vocal cords" he coos fakely. I thrash around but he keeps me pinned down easily.

"Okay I think it's time to get this over with" Alexander says getting bored of teasing me. I struggle even move violently and attempt to scream again but he straddles me, his weight holding me down and uses one of his hands to cover my mouth. With his other hand he reaches to his waist where I see a leather knife holder which he pulls a eight inch silver blade out of. My eyes became even wider than they were as he moves the blade towards my chest.

"Bye bye Ms. Phoebe Lillian Nicholas" he chuckles sinisterly before plunging the knife downwards. My scream echoes through the woods, ringing in my ears as the life leaves my body.

I was murdered in cold blood for revenge and that was just the beginning of my story.
