The Last Bell

The last bell rang

The classrooms seemed darker

Or maybe it was the eyes that met those

The walls seemed silent while we kept staring

The stories written seemed to be fading

Taking a new colour with very departure

The chairs and tables no longer fought

Stood in their places waiting for a new arrival

The boards seemed dusty for a soul

The words of congratulations seemed worse than a curse

The last bell rang

Sat there trying to grasp

The walls, the colors, the faces, the words

No one dared to look up

The scare of losing

 Blurred out the familiar faces

With a grieve in heart

Eyes met

A smile broke out even in verge of tears

The last bell rang

Last set of memories wrapping up

A smile of hope

A hug of promise

A tear of fright

A laugh of memories

The last bell rang

We walked out never realizing it
