With the help of Canterlot, Ponyville was prepared for war, though not as much as they each prayed. The armour forget was bright in order to reflect back as much light as they could to prevent the Crystal ponies from having an advantage. Unicorns had magic, Pegasi had a mix of swords and ranged weapons whilst Earth Ponies had brute strength and handled the cannons and heavier weapons. The Pegasi are also to start a storm that would hopefully slow down the army.
Princess Luna had raised the moon to weaken the Crystal Ponies' beams and Celestia stood as the leader, in control of the royal guard.

Twilight and her 5 friends stood ready on the battleground, elements worn on the neck and for Twilight, the head. Rarity, refusing to go to war, stayed on the sidelines as a healer, as did Fluttershy. Rainbow Dash, Twilight, Apple Jack and reluctantly, Pinkie Pie stood at the front of war. Spike was too young for war, however stayed behind to heat the forges for weaponry and armour.

They stood triumphantly next to Celestia, Rainbow sending Pinkie a worried glance before turning to her previous stance. The others still didn't know about them, both of them still being flustered from the night that would have been a few moons ago.

The newly crowned prince grinned at Celestia, armour matte and evil, eyes glimmering with the same corrupted green as the Ex-King Sombra held in his eyes many years ago. He had been thrown into the Abyss where he belonged

Though it was quite strange.
This 'new Prince' was no human for
he stood on two legs with dragon-like scales pacting tightly together, filling any cracks or gaps on his body. Large horns pretruded from his skull and a tail whipping anyone who got in his way.

The war horns sounded and a bellowing 'CHARGE!' from the other side echoed out from the battlefield. Instantly, both sides began to charge. Pinkie whimpered, narrowly following Rainbow from the ground.
Twilight stuck with Celestia, protecting her flank, whilst Apple Jack following the lead of Princess Luna. Everyone fought in pairs, two versus one, narrowly killing the Crystal Ponies with such struggle.

You would believe that all of Equestria versus a measly thousand Crystal Ponies would be a walk in tbe park. With lots and lots of bodies and blood, of course.
But the Crystal ponies' hides were strong and resilient, brainwashed pathetically by their leader.

Flurry heart was grown up now; around the age of 13. She could fly and cast magic (with the help of her aunt Twilight, of course) without the power fluctuations, though stkll as powerful as ever. It was really quite the development.

Shining armour trained hard and was ready for war. He fought bravely.
Both ponies had resisted the corruption and hurried over to tell the Princesses of the newest development.
Cadence had no time for a funeral, though when; and if this ever ended, they would hold a grand festival for all those that fought bravely amongst the leaders.

"Pinkie!" screeched Rainbow, Pinkie dodging out of the way and ducking to slash at the pony who was charging her. She bucked their face with unbelievable force, the grey, bloodstained helmet shooting off of his head and landing with a large thud! The sheer force created a crack in the metal and he glared at her, before being blown in the chest by a large bang and a buzz of bullets being penetrated into his body, being Rainbow's gun; a new development by the Scientists.
The scientists continued to develop new weapons to help in the war.

Dr Whooves was one of the most well-known inventors, creating goggles that would protect against the Crystal Ponies' streaks of blinding lights. Being reinforced, they proved beneficial against the enemy.

The same loop for months and months, the only breaks being when one side retreated for rest. Neither of them were safe. Dash stayed in the basement of Sugarcube corner with Pinkie, her having to hide the magical equipment elsewhere.

The secret couple did no more than kissing and hugging, never risking it on the battlefield. None had gotten seriously injured yet, though Dash was millimetres from being incinerated the other day. Thankfully, pinkie had jumped her out of the way.

"Pinkie, what if we could just leave?" Dash had asked this on multiple occasions, Pinkie wondering the same. Could her magic take them out of here? Maybe. Just to a plane of silence and peace. At least until the war ended.

But what would Dash do if she found out about the illegalised and dangerous arts of Pinkie's hobbies?

Pinkie would only risk it if ever necessary. She could not bear to see Dash be hurt or even worse, killed.
And so if the war came close to an end, then they could just disappear.

"Dashie, if we could leave-" she thinks about her words, them being different to each time she answered.
"-I would have done it a long time ago."
She breathes out a sigh, fixing Rainbow's mane from the dusted mess that it was.

"What of our friends?"
Pinkie thought about that.
She had never given much thought to what would happen of her friends.
Would she take them with her?
Pinkie had only really thought of her and Dash's safety.
But what of her friends?
She supposed she would take as many as she could.

"Would you like them to come with us? Assuming we are playing make-belief, of course." Pinkie giggled slightly, filling Rainbow's mind with happiness. It had been so long since she heard joy in Pinkie's voice. It sent shivers of glee rippling through her body.

"Of course I would!" The cyan pony responds, fake offense in her tone.
She twisted in her seat and giggled along with Pinkie as she booped her significant other's muzzle.
"Of course you would." Pinkie grins.
The element of loyalty lives up to her name.
She would never leave anyone behind. That's one of the many factors of why Pinkie adored her so much.

"Pinkie, you are indeed magic." Rainbow smiled at the other. Pinkie would have flushed pink, but she did not believe that possible given her candyfloss-like fur and mane.
"As are you, my little Dashie."
Speaking of her mane, the dye that was placed in each of the strands was fading off.

Despite the thought of each of their coats and manes being so blindingly bright, it was not to be.
Each pony only ever kept it that way because of the show, but most had became accustomed to it, continuing to dye each of them the same dazzling colours.
