Cooper could think of many ways to spend his Thursday morning, but this wasn't it. At the moment, he would be walking Chocolat and stopping by the sweets shop, but instead Eclair took him out for his walk. Cooper had to enjoy a lovely breakfast with his father...and Erika.
He would have preferred to have breakfast with Oliver, at least he wasn't a prissy, money-digging, fake tanned-
"So Cooper, I thought you'd have introduced your new girlfriend to me by now,"his father said, sipping his mimosa.
Cooper almost spit out his own."Pardon?"
He hadn't dated anyone since...well it had been a while, and surprisingly enough, that wasn't really something on his mind anyway. Rebecca was supposed to be his latest one, but he didn't bother asking her out again.
What was on his mind was trying to get Oliver to join him for lunch again since their first outing. Every morning he would stop by the shop for coffee, maybe something for breakfast, and a small chat with Oliver. Sometimes after work he'd stop by, and by then Lavender would be there too. Unfortunately, every time he would get close to asking Oliver, something would stop him.
On Monday, business was booming. Cooper had to wait in line to get something, so he didn't even have a chance to talk with Oliver, much less ask him out for some lunch.
On Tuesday, it wasn't as full, but Oliver had two large orders. One of two dozen cupcakes, the other of assorted candies. He was far too busy that day.
Wednesday, Lavender had a 'Park Day' for her school and Oliver had to chaperone. Cooper had two meetings that day anyway.
Thursday, Oliver was actually free. Unfortunately, Cooper had a photo shoot for some new issue of 'another' magazine.
Friday, it was full again, and he had two more orders of candies and of cookies.
It was Saturday, and he didn't even have a chance to go to the shop.
So no, he had no plans for a girlfriend. Girlfriends were like a plaything, something he played with for a while and put it away when he was tired. Mostly because they were more interested in money, his image, or the ability to say she was dating Cooper Jean Gilles. He did have some good girlfriends, but that was a long time ago.
Oliver wasn't a toy nor a business interest. He was way more fun to hang out with than his girlfriends. (Granted he hadn't told Oliver he was a corporate heir, but it wasn't like it was a big deal).
He laughed out loud, thinking about what Oliver would say if he heard him.
"Well look at him dear, he's clearly in love." Erika's voice floated in the air.
Cooper almost choked on his waffles."Pardon?!"
Erika eyed him with satisfaction."See? He was spacing out just a second ago, you've got it bad for this girl."
Cooper's father seemed interested."Really? Cooper who is she?"
"I-I..."He confusedly looked at the both of them. His father very intrigued in who this 'mystery girl' was, and Erika looked much too pleased about what she just put on the table.
