How...how did this happen?
Oliver sat in his seat nervously, his leg jumping up and down, glancing every now and then at Cooper who was calmly sipping champagne.
Thank goodness I didn't get any frosting or batter on my clothes. Bless the apron.
"S-So why did you insist on having lunch with me?"Oliver asked him.
Cooper looked up at the lamp above them, and he leaned on his hand with a sigh."Well I wasn't about to break a little girl's promise..."he played with his fork,"but I was also rather...bored."
"Bored?" Oliver repeated, his leg no longer bouncing."Like you just did this on a whim?"
The other young man's eyes stared at him with interest."I suppose you could say that...you see I didn't have much to do today,"he paused and laughed,"I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable I swear that isn't my intent."
"That doesn't mean I don't have anything to do either,"Oliver said, crossing his arms,"And that was low key creepy of you."
Cooper was obviously taken aback, but he laughed."I know, I'm sorry, it was just in the spur of the moment. I did only insist on bringing you once I was assured you had nothing to worry about, plus I think it'd be stupid of me to kidnap a young guy in plain daylight with a sister knowing who he was with."
Oliver knew he was frowning, but Cooper wasn't wrong, and he did help him deliver those cupcakes.
I might as well enjoy being treated to lunch.

"Alright, fine."He sighed and looked at Cooper with newfound interest."So you work at the G & M Company, what do you do?" Oliver asked.
"Well,"Cooper bit his lip,"Allow me to ask you something first."
"Huh?"
"Do I not look familiar to you?"
He has got to know me from somewhere.
"Yeah, yeah just a bit. I don't know from where though. Why?"
Cooper stared at him, then nodded."Curiosity." He took a sip of his champagne."I do a lot of advertising...and have a lot of connections you can say. I model a bit too."
I guess he can't be after money if he doesn't even know who I am. I should loosen up, I think I sound like I'm here for business.
"Really? I thought you could've been a model or something."
Cooper smirked."Really?"
"Oh!"Oliver's complexion reddened slightly,"Well, uh because you look like you really take care of yourself...and uh look really well kept."
Cooper continued smirking, suddenly pleased."Thank you. What about you? Do you own that sweets shop?"
Oliver brightened up."I do! I've been owning it since I turned eighteen."
"That's impressive, did you open it on your own?"
This time Oliver's gaze dropped and he didn't seem as bright anymore.
Did...I say something wrong?
"Well, to be honest, it was my parents shop before they both passed after a plane accident."
Oh shit. Did I accidentally bring up a no-no subject?
Oliver cleared his throat and smiled."It's okay though. I decided to take over and take care of it for them."
