Chapter 3: Borneo

"Chloe, you reading us?" Nate asked through the earpieces as he, Sully and I walk along the Borneo jungle. "Loud and clear." She replied. "We're getting close." I said as we drop down onto a rock. "Okay, I've planted charges all around the perimeter of the camp. You three just need to arm them. The first one should be right ahead of you." Chloe said just as we reach the first charge. "I also left the detonator for you." Chloe said and Sully picks up the detonator.

"Ah-huh, there we are." Nate said as he arms the first charge. "All right. First one's set. Don't touch the button." He said to Sully. "This one?" Sully asked, sarcastically, as he points at the detonator. Nate gives him a frightened look but Sully laughs. "Once you've set all the charges, just hit the detonator and it's showtime." Chloe informs. "They'll never know what hit 'em." I laughed.

"Just be careful, Lazarevic has got his men posted all around the perimeter." She warns as Nate, Sully and I continue through the jungle. "Keep an eye out for patrols." Sully said then he wipes his sweaty forehead with the back of his hand. "I'm sweatin' like a hooker in church." He said, making Nate and I look over at him. "You brought a hooker to church?" I asked him. "Why not?" Sully said, shrugging. I roll my eyes as Nate chuckle when we reach three guards patrolling nearby.

"Hey careful. Up ahead." Sully warns us.
"Don't let 'em spot you." Chloe warns us as well. "Let's take these guys out. Quietly." I said to the boys. Then we sneak up to the guards and, at the same time, we jump up, grabbed the guards and knock them out.

Afterwhile, Nate sees a wooden branch sticking out of a platform. "Looks like we can swing across there." He said while Sully laughs. "Yeah, maybe you and your sister can." He said, making Nate and I chuckle. "All right, hold on grandpa, we'll see if we can find another way up." Nate said and we swing across then locate a rock nearby. We walk up to it then push the rock down into the swamp.

"Heads up!" We yelled and the rock drops down in front of Sully. "Ah, perfect. Thanks kids!" He said as he climbs onto the rock and then onto the cliffs. "This way." I said and we head off.

"Nate, you should be approaching excavation site one by now." Chloe informs as Nate, Sully and I continue across a log bridge and see several guards are patrolling up ahead. "Shit. We've been spotted." Sully grumbles as we take cover. "Take them out fast. We can't let them send word back to camp." Chloe told us and the boys and I take out the guards.

"You should be getting close to the first camp. I've planted four more charges in there, but you're going to have to clear the place out before you can arm them." She said as we reach the first excavation site then we hide behind a rock and slowly edge closer. "Here's the camp. You guys ready for this?" Nate asked Sully and I. "Let's do it." I said as Sully nods then Nate, Sully and I eliminate the patrols in the first camp, pretty easily.

"All right, we gotta find those explosives and get 'em armed." Sully said as Nate and I find the chargers and arm all four of them. "Okay, that's all of 'em." I said. "Now let's go pay Mr. Lazarevic a visit." Sully said as we approach a ladder at the back of the camp. "Can't reach this." Nate said then he turns to me. "Come on over here and I'll give you a boost." He said. I nod then he boosts me up to the ledge. I get up and walk over to the ladder then start to drop it down. "Look out below, boys." I said and the ladder drops down. "All right." Nate said and both of them climb up the ladder.

We, eventually, reach the back of the camp. "Oooh, that must've been some tsunami to wash these ships so far inland. Looks deserted." Sully noted as we approach a fallen log and see two patrolling guards examining a generator in the water below.
"Get down." Nate whispers and we duck down behind some tree trunks. "Look - they're not armed." Nate pointed out. "Well, not that many - what are we waiting for? We can take these guys." Sully said as I shake my head. "I don't know Sully, maybe--" I started to say when a third guard appears out of nowhere and kicks Sully in the face, knocking him to the ground. Nate attacks the guard and the gun gets knocked out of his hand.
