Chapter 4

Hermione went to eat lunch when school was over. She hadn't seen Draco the whole day. Maybe he was avoiding her?

No, that couldn't be the reason. He hadn't been at school, and the last time she saw him was at breakfast.

"Ron, Lavender is looking at you", Harry suddenly said.

Hermione looked at Lavender immediately. It was true. She felt anger building up inside her.

"Wow, you're right. That's amazing. Does that mean that she likes me? I think I'll go to her."

Ron stood up and walked over. Hermione saw him talking to her and Lavender stood up and they went out of the Great Hall.

Hermione became really jealous.

"That bitch." Oh no. Did she really just said that loud?

"What?", Harry asked.

"Nothing." Hermione blushed.

"Oh, wait.. You like him?", Harry said and looked worried.

"Noo, no, noo. Why?", she said in a way too high voice.

"Oh my god, Hermione, I'm so sorry, I didn't know!"

"It's not your fault! You couldn't know that!"

"Of course I could! I'm so sorry, 'Mione!"

"Again, it's not your fault. I'm going to go now. See you later."

She decided to ask Blaise Zabini what was going on with Draco. She had to change her thoughts.

She stood up and walked to the Slytherin table.

Most of them were really nice, they greeted and smiled at her. The war changed people, even the Slytherins.

She made her way to Blaise, and said:

"Hey, do you know where Draco is?"

"At breakfast he said that he wasn't feeling well and went to his dormitory."

"But I didn't see him there. Obviously he tries to hide something, but I'll find it out."

"Good luck", Blaise said and smiled.

Hermione went to their common room and saw Draco sitting on the couch.

"Draco! Where have you been?", she asked and sat down next to him. He stood up immediately.

"Again, don't call me Draco, and don't sit next to me, mudblood."

"Where have you been?", she asked again, trying to hide her disappointment.

"That's none of your bloody business."

"Oh, yes, it is. You are Head Boy, and you can't just skip classes and don't tell anyone where you're going."

"I told Blaise that I wasn't feeling well, and I went to bed."

"I didn't see you here."

"Thats because I was in my BED!"

"But you weren't in your bed, either. I looked there and your room was empty."

"Who are you? My mother?"

And then he just went into his room.

"Draco Malfoy! I haven't finished yet!"

But he didn't come back.

Hermione went to the Great Hall to find Blaise, and she found him.

"Hey, Hermione, did you find Draco?"
