I told Connor everything. He listened and he didn't drive us home right away.
"Where are we going?" I asked him.
"We're going to go to see a movie, and then we're going to the ocean. I've been wanting to do this for a while and I think this is the perfect time. I know I'm not Benny but I'm your brother and I can treat you once in a while," he said smirking. "And a few of my friends and Taylor are coming, too," he added. He turned up the radio and we rolled down the windows. I screamed the words and Connor laughed.
We got to a movie theater and walked inside. There was already a bunch of high school boys and girls. Taylor ran up to Connor and they kissed. I gagged and turned the other way and checked my phone. 5 unread messages from Benny. I turned my phone off and looked back at Connor.
"You must be Addison, I've heard a lot about you," a boy said, holding out his hand. He was cute and he had a cute hairstyle. I took his hand and shook it and he smiled. "I'm Carson, by the way." He said.
"I see you've meet Carson," Connor said. "Besides him, this is Katie, Rowan, Jack, Austin, and Olivia," they all waved and I smiled back. We got our tickets and got popcorn and sodas and walked into the movie. We were seeing a movie called After, some love movie. I sat next to Carson and he gave me a small smile.
"Do you like these types of movies?" He asked me. I shrugged.
"They're okay, I just went because-" I stuttered. I remembered what happened today and I swallowed hard. Carson looked at me.
"It's okay," he said with another calm smile. We turned to the movie as it started.

The movie had ended and I absolutely hated it. There was too much making out for my liking, but Connor and Taylor were practically the same human. I gagged as we walked to Connor's car.
     "Oh shut up," he said.
"You two just shared SALIVA!!" I screamed.
"What about you and Benny?" He said. I looked down and walked to the car. We got in and then he started driving us to the beach.

Once we got there, I saw a few familiar faces. Phillips. Again. I tried to ignore the adrenaline pumping through my veins, and it took all I had to not walk over and punch him. I really don't know how, or why, I kept running into him. But, Phillips wasn't the only familiar face that was there. Benjamin Franklin Rodriguez. I turned and looked at Connor. He smirked.
"You planned this!" I yelled. I walked over to Benny and put my hands on my hips.
          "I-" he started saying.
"Don't. Who was she." I stated. I was not in the mood for stupid excuses.
"She's my best friend. I've known her forever, Addy. I don't like her," He took a step closer to me. "I'm in love with you." He said. My arms dropped to my sides and I stared into his hazel eyes. He put a hand on my face and slowly kissed me. I didn't pull away, and I had no intention to. I felt a tug on my hair and saw Carson standing there.
"You must be Benny," he said with a shy smile. Benny looked at him and then pulled me next to him, putting an arm around my waist.
"And you are?" He asked.
"This is Carson. He's one of Austin's friends." I said. Benny glared and then pulled away to a building close by.
"Why did he ruin our moment?!" He asked.
"It's fine. He's just a friend," I playfully punched Benny's arm. "anyway, you were just over there making googoo eyes with your best friend, so chill out." I said crossing my arms. He opened his mouth to protest but nothing came out. Instead, he grabbed my hand and we walked back over to where Connor and Taylor were standing. Benny mouthed something and Connor nodded, and they went and started whispering to each other. It left Taylor and I standing there. She rolled her eyes and walked away. I really don't get why she hates me.
"Hey, Princess." I heard someone whisper. I turned around. Go figure! It was Phillips.
"What do you want? Benny's here, by the way." I said.
"Babe, chill. I just want to say I'm sorry and I want to take you out on a date. Benny doesn't have to know..." he said, smirking. I sighed heavily.
"No, Phillips. And if I were you, I would leave while you had the chance." He rolled his eyes and started walking away.

The last day of summer

We all looked at the sandlot. It looked the same as the beginning of the summer. Benny and I had our hands linked together. I'm not usually that emotional, but I had tears in my eyes. We wouldn't be back at this place for a year, and I made so many memories here. It was the best summer I had ever had. I made some amazing friends, memories, and got the best boyfriend I could ask for. He looked at me and saw my eyes were glossy, and he pulled me closer to him and kissed the top of my head.
"It's like this every year, babe. We're all going to miss it." He said.
"Yeah. And especially since Yeah-Yeah won't be here to play with us next summer..." Smalls said. These boys are my family. I can trust them and tell them anything. I couldn't help it; I started balling. I put my face on Benny's shirt and I felt all the guys huddle around and hug me. I laughed through sobs.
"T-thank you g-guys." I said.
"Don't sweat it," DeNunez said, laughing. They all backed away and we exchanged smiles. Now we just have to wait for The Summer After.
