tap.tap.
silence.
tap.
tap.
Minho looked up from his phone, his eyebrows furrowed as he took one of his ear buds out.
tap. tap. tap.
He saw a flash of something gray ricochet off of his window—sparking his interest into getting up and walking over to his window. When he looked down he saw Jisung standing there, his gray, hole filled, hoodie over his head and a bunch of rocks collected in the pocket.
Jisung noticed Minho looking down at him when he brought his arm back to throw another rock. He slowly brung his arm down, emptying the remaining rocks into the garden to his left.
"Jisung?" Minho called out from the window, making Jisungs head turn back to look up at him.
"Uh—yeah..?" Jisung called back, raising one of his hands to block out the sun that was blinding him.
"What are you doing?" Minho laughed, his head now fully out of the window, his head resting in his hands as he looked down at the boy.
"I—I'm.. Im uh," Jisung rambled on, trying to form a sentence. "I was trying to get your attention."
"I'll let you in the back." Minho said closing his window, pulling the curtains back together. Jisungs anxiety told him that Minho was just shutting the window to shut him up, and he wasn't going to come let him in.
But much to Jisungs surprise, he heard a click of a lock being opened—and Minho sticking his head out of the door with a smile.
—
Jisung stood in Minhos door way—completely dumbfounded that Minho let him in so easily. He thought Minho would push him away; not wanting to to do anything with him. Jisung realized he messed up, and desperately wanted to apologize.
But now—that it's happening— he can't seem to move. And it doesn't help that Minho is just staring at him, with an expression Jisung couldn't read well.
"Are you gonna come sit, or just stand there?"
"Oh! Y-Yeah," Jisung stuttered, quickly making his way over to Minhos bed, sitting down beside him, trying not to look at him. "I forgot about sitting."
Minho laughed softly before coughing quickly after—trying to hide it. Then there was a moment of silence, Jisung being too awkward to break it.
So Minho spoke first. "You seem..scared to be here even though you brought this on yourself."
"I—I.. well it wasn't my idea at first!" Jisung tapped his fingers on his knees, watching as they did so. His voice cracked as he spoke, making him feel even more embarrassed.
"So.. you didn't wanna see me?"
"N-No! No I wanted to.. I was just scared."
"That's understandable." Minho shrugged, scooting a bit closer to Jisung—his knee just brushing past the other boys. "I thought you wouldn't wanna see me."
"No.. I've been wanting to apologize." Jisung replied, keeping his head down as he ran his thumb along his hoodie hem. "I tried to that one night on snap, but I stopped."
Minho nodded to himself, thinking back to that night. "I remember, I texted you after you stopped typing."
"Y-Yeah.. and I wanted to apologize about that too! I just felt so bad.. and I sounded really rude, I'm so-"
"Jisung, stop apologizing so much." Minho chuckled, lifting Jisungs head up with his index finger— making them lock eyes.
"I-I'm sorry?" Jisung smiled softly, a blush creeping onto his cheeks. "I'm sorry for saying sorry so much.."
"Just kiss me." Minho smiled back, caressing Jisungs cheek softly. "There's nobody here but me."
"But what about Mark?" Jisung spoke softly, taking his face away from Minho as he bit on the inside of his cheek—his anxiety racing.
Minho took both of Jisungs hands in his, squeezing them slightly. "Look at me."
Jisung kept his head down.
"Ji, I only like you. I've always only liked you." Minho started, keeping ahold of his hands as Jisung looked up at him. "I don't want this to be fake anymore, I want this to be real."
"Y-You want this to be real?" Jisung asked, his eyebrows furrowing, confusion laced in his words. "Lee Minho, the schools rugby captain, wants to date me?"
Minho rolled his eyes, taking one of his hands to cup Jisungs cheek . "Will you ever stop rambling?"
"No, no I won't. I love to talk, I could talk for days and days and da-" Jisung was trying to speak, being very proud of himself for not stuttering yet, before he got cut off.
After rolling his eyes, Minho thought that Jisung had rambled on for too long, so he shut him up in the best way he could think of—by kissing him. Jisung wasn't expecting the kiss, and his wide eyes were the proof of that. But after realizing this wasn't a dream, he kissed back.
This time their kiss wasn't happening because of any weed, or a party environment. It was happening because Minho liked Jisung, and Jisung liked Minho back.
"So, are you my boyfriend?" Minho asked after pulling away. He took a moment to admire Jisung in all of his 'after kiss' glory. His red lips still looked so kissable, but Minho had to restrain himself so Jisung could answer.
And with a sly smirk, Jisung answered. "Hm, let me think about it."
"Hey! You can't give me that answer again!" Minho whined, pouting his lips. "Pretty please? With a cherry on top?"
"You have to catch me first." Jisung giggled, grabbing a pillow from Minhos bed as he started running around.
And of course, Minho grabbed his other pillow, following Jisung around his room. "You asshole!" He yelled, laughing along as he chased the other boy.
Jisung was glad he got the courage to come over, and Minho was glad he came too.
So now, the twos relationship can truly blossom, without any toxic people and without any fake shit. Minho never thought Jisung would ever like like him, but he was wrong. So, so wrong.
But now the twos relationship can blossom for real this time.
