Marinette looked on as Hawkmoth made his wish. She was powerless, and couldn't move, her sweaty palm slack in Adrien's.

But Adrien was not looking at Hawkmoth. He was looking at Mayura.

She had risen, her hand covering her mouth, her mask gone. Even without her glasses, she knew what was happening. And she looked... familiar.

No time for that now.

Marinette took her hand out of Adrien's, her heart did a flip as she realised that she had held Adrien's hand - even after everything, she was still so affected by his touch.

She walked to Hawkmoth, and saw him give a gasp, and suddenly, a wave of white light knocked her backwards.

Marinette, picked herself up slowly, her head pounding and spots forming in her vision. She blinked, turning. Adrien's fine. Mayura was on the floor but they all were. And Hawkmoth was....

Gabriel Agreste?

The surprise hit her hard. Her idol, Adrien's own Father - was Hawkmoth, the Super villain? She thought of Adrien. He would be devastated. Hawkmoth is Chat Noir's own dad.

And who was that behind him?

Marinette picked herself up, slowly walking to Hawkmoth - or Gabriel, whoever he was. Behind him was a beautiful blonde woman, looking subtly familiar.

She placed her hand on Gabriel's shoulder. Her face was tilted, and the second surprise hit Marinette hard.

Emilie Agreste.

But Adrien said...

Gabriel turned, and the couple embraced. There was no word to describe it, Gabriel clung onto Emilie like he was so sure that she would disappear if he let her go.

Love made people do crazy things.

And this love was dangerous.

She dreaded learning the cost of Hawkmoth's wish.

Marinette spotted the miraculouses a few feet away from the couple and quickly ran to pick them up while the couple was distracted.

Tikki and Plagg came back in their glowing sphere, as she wore the miraculous on.

"Marinette," Tikki said. "What are you doing?"

Plagg, on the other hand, had zipped off the Adrien, who was beside Mayura.

"Tikki," Marinette pleaded. "Can you still do a transformation on an empty stomach?"

Tikki shook her head sadly. "No."

Marinette looked around, and remembered the upturned basket. Maybe there were some crumbs inside.

"Get some for Plagg too!"

"Tikki, you have to call him, I can't! I didn't tell Adrien that I'm Ladybug!"

"But why didn't you?"

"It'll take too Long to explain, I'll get the food, and you get Plagg!"

Tikki zipped off, and Marinette raced to the cage, grabbing the broken crackers through the bars.

"Here, eat quickly."

Tikki and a disgruntled confused Plagg chowed down their pathetic meal.

"Ew! Its nothing like my sweet Camembert! Besides, Adrien already fed me," Plagg crossed his arms and tilted his Chin up defiantly.
