Lucy P.O.V.
It was another day at Fairy Tail. As usual I was sitting with one of my closest friends in the entire guild, Levy. We were talking about pretty random things, how my novel was doing, her adventures with Shadow Gear and then how much Juvia had fallen for Gray. Being in Fairy Tail was the best thing about my life. The adventures I’ve had and the friends I’ve made here has shaped me into the Lucy I am today. It’s all thanks to that pink haired idiot Natsu. I started to feel my face burn up at the thought of his classic big smile and kind onyx coloured eyes. Wait what?!
“Lu-Chan~” I immediately snapped back to reality when I heard Levy’s voice. “Were you daydreaming about Natsu?” She emphasized Natsu’s name and gave me a sly grin. I blushed then yelled at Levy. “NO I WAS NOT!” She smiled in amusement at the sight of my quick response. “Oh please Lu-Chan, everyone knows you and Natsu have a ‘thing’,” she said whilst making air quotes with her fingers. “you two are just to dense to realize anything!”
I thought about it for a moment. Natsu and I. Together. I quickly dismissed the thought. As I was about to argue my point I see a pink haired dragon slayer walking towards Levy and I. I started to blush again. STOP IT LUCY! I shook my head rapidly and Levy started laughing her head off. “Uh Luce? Are you okay?” Look up to see Natsu staring straight at me then quickly looked back down. “Yeah I’m fine.” “Well,” Levy started speaking “I’m just gonna leave you two alone” I shot my head back up again towards her “What?! NO!” She gave me winked at me then said, “See ya Lu-Chan, Natsu.” “Bye Levy” Natsu said.
“So Luce, I found a job.” He said as he started sitting where Levy was. “Oh awesome, lemme see the flyer.” He smiled and handed me the paper with the Job on it. I scanned the paper and smiled. It seemed like a really easy job. All we had to do was catch a couple of bandits in Hargeon Town for 200,000 jewels. “Alright, I’m in!” I said as I handed the flyer back to Natsu. “Great! We’ll leave tomorrow kay?” “Okay. Oh by the way, is Erza, Gray, or Wendy coming with us?”
Natsu quickly looked down then scratched the back of his head. “I-I thought maybe we could do it just the two of us..?” My eyes widened. JUST THE TWO OF US?! My heart began to beat a lot faster. CALM DOWN LUCY, CALM DOWN. After about 20 seconds of awkward silence I sighed then said, “Sure, why not?” Natsu immediately looked up and gave me a really huge smile. “Awesome! I’ll see you tomorrow than!” “Yup, see you.” He called out for his blue exceed Happy who was hanging out with Wendy and Carla then went out the guild doors. This was definitely going to be interesting.
Natsu P.O.V.
It seemed like it’s been forever since Lucy and I went on a job so I was honestly really excited. I started smiling at my feet while Happy and I were walking home. “Natsu why are you smiling at the ground?” I looked up and saw Happy staring at me like I had gone completely crazy. “I was just thinking of something.” I petted his head then looked forward. “THINKING?!” The blue exceed gasped. “I’m not an idiot Happy!” He then began to start flying away before I could do anything to him. “Happy! Wait up!”
I ran to him as fast as I could then finally caught him in front of our house. “Come here you little,” I started tickling him like there was no tomorrow. “N-Nat-su!” He tried saying in between laughs. After about 5 minutes I stopped then laughed my head off and Happy continued. After another 5 minutes of more laughing we finally went into the house.
I looked around our house and felt really happy. It was filled with almost all the things I’ve done in Fairy Tail, job requests with notes of who I did it with, random objects I got from the job, even costumes I’ve made Lucy wear for the job. The thought of Lucy made me feel even happier. I wonder why. “Natsu~” My train of thought was interrupted by the sound of Happy’s voice. “What’s up buddy?” I replied. “Can we go fishing?” I rolled my eyes. Man that cat loves fish. “Alright, let’s grab our stuff and go than!” “YAYYYYY!” Happy yelled out.
I loved fishing with Happy; his face when we would catch one would make me feel really nice inside. Doing it is also really relaxing. “Hey Natsu?” Happy asked while we sat by the lake with our fishing poles. “Yeah?” I replied. “What were you thinking about earlier?” “I was just thinking about how happy I was to go on a job with Lucy.” I smiled more while I said it. “You liiiiiiiiiiiiike her~” My face started to feel hotter then usual. Did I actually like her?! “N-No I don’t!” “Are you sure~?” I wasn’t sure at all. I mean Lucy is my bestfriend and I love spending time with her. “I-I don’t know…” I looked away from Happy then stared at the water.
“Is there anything you do like about Lucy?” “Yeah…” I replied. “I like her silky blonde hair, her kind brown eyes, how caring and passionate she is about her friends and celestial spirits, and how she’s always by my side…” “Natsu...” Holy crap. I liked Lucy Heartfilia. “I LIKED LUCY HEARTFILIA!”
Lucy P.O.V
Did I like Natsu? For the rest of the afternoon I sat at the guild wondering this. After my talk with Natsu I made Levy go away because I wanted to think but now, I really needed her help. I walked over to Levy and asked, “Do you think you can spend the night at my place? I really wanna talk to you about something.” As if she knew what I wanted to talk about she immediately replied, “Of course Lu-Chan!” I smiled “I’m just gonna start heading back now but come when you’re ready” “Alright! See you soon.” I gave another smile then headed home.
It was about 8 p.m. when Levy arrived. I gave her a quick hug then invited her inside. We talked a bit about more random stuff then Levy finally asked. “So, what’s up?” “I started thinking a lot about whether or not I have feelings for Natsu.” “And?!” Levy said with excitedly. “I think I do have feelings for him.” “EEEEEEEEEEEK” Levy loudly shrieked. I winced at the sound of such a pitched shriek. She finally calmed down then said “Okay, so what do you like about him?” I thought about it for a few seconds then replied, “I think what I like about him most is how caring he is about everyone in the guild. How he’s constantly trying to protect the people he cares most about most. Including me..”
My face turned as red as Erza’s hair when I said that. “Awwwwww Lu-Chan!!” she gave me a huge hug “Levy! Stop it!” “But you’re just acting so adorable!” I tried my best to get her off me but this girl was a hugger. She finally let go then looked at me with a serious face. “When are you going to tell him?”
Natsu P.O.V.
“When are you going to tell her?”
Third Person P.O.V.
Natsu and Lucy thought hard. When would they tell each other their feelings? They both looked at their friends in blue and said, “When the time is right.”
