Wendy P.O.V.
As I woke up from my sleep the sun shone brightly into my room. I knew for sure this would be a really fun day. Why? Because I finally get to hang out with my closest friend at the guild (other then Carla), Romeo-kun.
I got myself ready by changing and putting my hair into pigtails then headed out for the guild with Carla by my side. "So Carla..." I began as we walked through the halls of Fairy Hills. "I was planning on hanging out with Romeo-kun today, do you mind if I leave you at the guild while we go out?"
I looked down at my shoes to try and hide the blush that was forming when I realized I said "go out." Carla flew right in front of me and stopped me from stepping any further. "Going out?! You're to young for those things Wendy!" my eyes widened and I quickly answered back, "Not like that Carla! We were just planning on hanging out, I mean we've been on a lot of jobs lately with Natsu-san and his team so..."
I looked down again. Romeo-kun was honestly my closest friend, especially since we were the only ones around the same age. So since I've been on so many jobs lately, I haven't had the chance to hang out with him and to be honest, I've missed it. That's why I really hope Carla will let me. Its not like we're "going out" in that way.
"Alright Wendy," I looked up to see Carla back on the ground and walking forward. "You can hangout with Romeo-kun today." A smile spread across my face and ran over to Carla to give her a hug. "Thanks so much Carla!"
"Hai, hai. Now put me back down please. And don't make me regret this!" I gave her one last squeeze. "Don't worry Carla, I'll be fine. It's Romeo-kun we're talking about after all." I put her back down and she brushed off some wrinkles on her clothes. We gave eachother a smile then we continued our walk to the guild.

"Awwww! Look at that stuffed white dragon!" Romeo-kun and I have been walking around the streets of Magnolia talking and looking at some of the shops, it's been so much fun so far.
I grabbed Romeo-kun's arm and pointed at the stuffed animal. We were looking around the shop when said stuffed animal got my attention. "Aha, it's so cute!" I looked at him as he gave me a toothy smile that instantly made me blush. I quickly turned my gaze from him to the white dragon to hide my blush. As I looked more closly at the stuffed animal I realized how much it looked like my lost foster mother, Grandeeny. My mood went from happy to sad just like that.
I looked at the ground as the memories of her began to flood my mind. "Wendy..." Romeo began, "Are you okay..?" I sighed then looked back up at him. He stared at me with his kind eyes filled with concern. It made me blush again so I turned away. "Yeah, I'm alright. The dragon just reminded me of Grandeeny, that's all." I sniffiled then small tears began filling my eyes. I can't believe I'm acting like this in front of Romeo-kun. When I finally got myself together, I looked up and saw the dragon in Romeo's hand as he headed towards the cash register. "Wait, Romeo?" I ran over to him. "What are you doing?"
"Buying you the dragon of course." I looked down as we continued to walk towards the cash register. "Y-You don't have to do that..." "I know, but I really want to." I looked up at a slightly blushing Romeo and my face began to feel as hot as Natsu's fire. How else should I have reacted? it definitely caught me off guard. "T-Thanks." I muffled to myself to hide my embarrasment.
After Romeo paid for the stuffed white dragon, we decided to walk over to the park close by. It was around the evening now. Romeo pointed to a big tree beautiful tree in the very center of the park. "Let's sit here?" Romeo asked. I nodded with the white dragon in my hand as we headed over to the tree. As we sat down, I began thanking Romeo for the stuffed animal again. "Thank you again, for buying this for me. I'm really happy." I found myself looking at the dragon again and smiling to myself. "It was no problem, you were probably missing her a lot so I thought this would make you feel like she's always with you." My smile grew bigger, I'm so happy to have a friend like him.
We continued sitting under the tree as the sun began setting. It wasn't an awkward kind of silence, but rather comfortable. Just being with him was enough to keep me happy. I stared at the sun and thought out loud, "This view is so beautiful, isn't it?" I turned around to see that Romeo was staring right at me. "Yeah, it is."
Romeo P.O.V.
I've had a thing for Wendy for almost a year now. She's kind, beautiful, strong, and caring for everyone at the guild. I always thought that she had the cutest personality yet, she would able to beat you down if you hurt her friends. She's been my closest friend for so long but that's all I am to her. She doesn't feel the same way. But for right now, I don't care.
As we sit here and watch the sunset, all I could do was stare. Her long blue hair flew with the breeze and her eyes shined as she watched the sunset. I didn't mind the silence between us at all. Being beside the one I care about most and seeing how beautiful she is, that was enough for me. "This veiw is so beautiful, isn't it?" she looked up and I stared right at her. Her kind smile and big brown eyes in the light of the sunset gave me another reason to love her. "Yeah, it is."
A blush creeped on her face as she looked down to hide her embarassment, which made her even cuter. "Romeo, I-I.." Was this it? The moment when she'll realize my feelings and return them? "Yeah?" I replied as casual as possible despite how hopeful I was. She looked up and stared straight at me with her big brown eyes. "We're friends right?"
Friends. It's true then, that's all we'll ever be. "Of course we are Wendy." I sighed to myself and turned my gaze from Wendy to the sunset. Will she ever realize how I feel, or should I just tell her now? Maybe I should. She's here beside me watching this beautiful sunset. It's the perfect setting, no? "Wendy..?" Before I could start telling her my feelings she leaned her head on my shoulder and closed her eyes. "Good, because you're my very best friend."
She gripped on the stuffed dragon that resembled Grandeeny "Please don't ever leave me." I realized what she meant then smiled. I stroked a piece of her silky blue hair and replied, "Don't worry, I'll never leave you."

We ended up falling asleep beside eachother, her head on my shoulder and mine on the tree trunk. Natsu-nii ended up finding us and making fun of me the whole way back to the guild. But today was an amazing day, because I spent it with my very best friend.
