I Fell In Love At A Coffee Shop (Jellal x Erza)

Erza P.O.V. 

"What would you like ma'am?" The cashier asked. 

I was currently at the nearest café to the university I attend, Fairy Tail University. I had finally finished unpacking all my things, so I decided to treat myself.

"I'll have a small cappacino and a piece of strawberry cake please." I responded. The lady working here nodded then put the order into the cash register. "That'll be $6.50." I handed her the money then smiled. "Your order will be called by the counter over there." She said smiling. I nodded. "Thank you."

I went over to the counter and waited. I ended up only waiting a couple of minutes.

"One small cappacino with a strawberry cake?" I went closer and took my order from the man at the counter. "Thank you." I smiled.

With my cake and coffee in hand, I went over to a small table for two by the window.

It was a nice fall day here in Fiore. The leaves on the trees were filled with beautiful orange and red colours and there was a nice, cool fall breeze.

I took out my phone and put it on the table. I was currently reading Eleanor and Park on my phone, and I absolutely love it so far. I'm not really into romance, but this book can definitely pull on your heart strings.

I began reading while sipping my coffee and taking bites of my cake every now and then. All of a sudden, a voice of a man interupted my reading. And I was just at a good part! "Excuse me, is this seat taken?"

I sighed to myself then looked up. A man, probably about the same age as me, with blue hair and a white collared button down stood before me. Wow, not bad.. WAIT WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ERZA?!

"Uh..?" He said, interupting my thoughts. I shook my head. "Sorry! U-Uh sure, go ahead." Pull yourself together! You don't even know this guy!

"Thanks." He smiled nicely then sat down in front of me. I felt a blush creep onto my face. I took a sip of my coffee then looked down.

"May I ask why you want to sit here? I mean there are other seats..." I said sheepishly.

"Yeah, I know." He said nonchalantly. "I just thought I'd give you some company." I looked up at his face to see a genuine smile, only to look back down again.

"I don't really need your company. In fact, I was reading." I told him. That perked his interest. "What are you reading?" He asked curiously. "Eleanor and Park." I replied.

"Cool. I actually read that book a while ago." He said, scratching the back of his head awkwardly. Well, it is more of a romantic book for females. "I have a younger sister that wanted me to read it." He explained. I formed my mouth into the shape of an O.

I wonder if he goes to FTU... I mean, he does look about the same age as me.

"So, do you go to FTU?" I asked curiously. I tapped on the sides of my coffee awkwardly.

"Actually yeah, I do. I'm guessing you do as well?" He asked. A small smile grew across my face. "Yeah, I do."

His name is Jellal Fernandes. He's studying forensics at FTU, he likes cats, he has on older sister and on younger sister, he dislikes injustice, and his favourite colour is red, the colour of my hair.

These were some of the things I've learned about the guy I met at a small coffee shop just outside campus. In fact, that's where we were right now. Again.

"Hey! Stop eating my cake Fernandes!" I reached across the table and playfully punched him. "Okay, okay!" He replied laughing. He put down the fork on the side of the small plate.
