Chapter 7

Returning to normal life after the battle seemed to become much of a burden for the queen. Aro spent his time researching the hybrids trying to see if there was any other hybrids, caius spent his days painting and trying to get his mate to smile as did Marcus but something seemed to be off with the queen yet nobody knew what was wrong.

The new Queen however felt lonely after the battle yes she had her mates but the vision that Alice showed her affected her greatly she saw her mates die and she saw herself caught in the middle of a war between both halves of her family and yet what the vision didn't show is the side she would be on, she would have fought with her sister and once it was over, throw herself onto the fire with her mates. 

She felt as though she no longer belonged here. Being away showed herself what she had missed, she missed the marriage of her sister and the birth of her niece, yes she had her mates but family was everything to her. Here she had her children but in forks where were her father and sister were. But what really made her feel lonely was the fact that she was missing one of her mates.

Everyone watched as the queen walked towards the throne room however she no longer had the same light in her eyes as she once did, she walked in and Alec sped to her side
"Are you alright mother" he asked concern lacing his voice
"I'm fine my boy" she said however everybody knew she was lying
She looked towards the thrones and saw that once again Aro was not there
"Still no aro" she asked
"Afraid not my love he seems so interested in this"
She sighed and nodded and sat on his throne
"Shall we get on with today's court, I would like to retire" she said and immediately the doors opened and in walked the Cullen's, nessie ran to her aunt and sat on her lap and for the first time in weeks they saw there queen smile a genuine smile.
"Hello angel how are you" she asked
"Good mama said that we could come see you" the little girl said
"Well I am glad you are here" she said and the little child tucked herself into the queen and closed her eyes and just listened
"Dear sister to what do I owe the pleasure" the queen said looking towards Bella and the Cullen's
"Well we had to move so why not come to Italy it had been awhile since we have spoken and truly spent time together and I have missed you so has jake and Nessie" she said and the queen once again smiled
"Well I think that is a fantastic idea, demitri felix, show them to the east corner of the castle choose any rooms you like and I shall come see you all later I have business to attend to first" the queen said

However before anything could happen the doors opened and in walked Aro
Gwen froze.

She stood up with the little girl "I think I show them where there staying instead" she said and began to walk
"My love what is wrong" Aro asked
She snapped her head to Aro and Bella took her daughter knowing her sister was angry
"So now you come out of your office, you have spent the last four weeks searching for more hybrids. I have spent the last four weeks doing your job. You have not been the king you were supposed to or any kind of mate and that makes me angry. You are so power hungry that you forgot what really matters." She said and went to walk away but he tried to grab her and he moved back
"Do not touch me. Do you have any idea of how bad I feel, it has been weeks since I have talked to you, since I have kissed since you have held me and every single day my heart breaks more and more not being near all three of you and caius and Marcus do everything they can to make me happy but I don't have you" her voice cracking at the end
"Why did no one come and get me, I would have come to you"
"Every single time someone knocked at your door you shouted at them to leave and I was one of them" she said and took the girl and sped away.

The Cullen's followed the queen as she angrily walked down the corridor however they could all see that she was being careful not to hurt renesmee,
She opened a door and everyone but Carlisle gasped it was like a home within a castle.
"Please excuse me, I hope you enjoy your day, if you need anything just call for Alec and he will get anything you want" I said and walked  away.

She ended up back in aros room, she walked into the closet and saw all his clothes hanging up, she walked over to the shirts and took one off and bundled it up and inhaled his scent.

She stood in their sobbing, she didn't even hear the door to the room open of the closet door,

Aro walked in to see the love of his life holding onto on of his shirts and sobbing, he realised then what a horrible mate he had been he had ignored the woman he loves.
He kneeled down in front of her
"Oh my love, I'm so sorry so very very sorry please forgive me" he asked his voice cracking
She fell into his arms and holding his shirt tightly as she dry sobbed into the crook of his neck. Every vampire heard everything but were ordered by the other two kings to leave them alone and let them resolve it themselves.

He picked her up and sat on the bed with her in his lap he could see the venom in her eyes
"Forgive me" he whispered
"I just want you back" she whispered
"I will never leave you again I love you so much"
She looked at him and then smashed their lips together
"I love you too"
"Let me show you how much I'm sorry" he said

The rest of the day clothes were shed and they made love many times
