Hermione's POV
"What's wrong Hermione?" Harry's voice came out filled with concern.
"It's nothing. Just didn't get much sleep last night,"
It was partially the truth. I was up most of the night tossing and turning, what I failed to mention was that I was still upset about telling Draco I wouldn't go to the dance with him. Harry didn't need to know that I was daydreaming about a boy we both knew I should be enemies with.
Pulling myself onto the bench beside Harry, I grabbed a glass of water and held it in my hand, taking the occasional sip. I couldn't wait for classes to start for the day. Sitting here, being forced to make conversation about stupid practical jokes that Fred and George pulled off, wasn't where I wanted to be. When Ron and Harry were done, I got up and left with them, as I had done everyday before.
The second we stepped into the corridor, Rons voice piped up,
"Hermione, why were you so dull in there? Normally you're going on about yesterday's transfiguration assignment or something."
"I'm just concerned. I overheard some people talking about a test Snape might be giving us today. If it's true, I'm entirely unprepared." I lied.
Ron and Harry laughed.
"If it's true, Ron and I have much more to worry about then you!" Harry exclaimed.
I agreed with them and walked to grab my books for potions class.
Draco's POV
Hermione walked into potions class, looking as beautiful as always. Dark circles traced around her eyes, hinting that she hadn't gotten much sleep. Something must have been keeping her awake at night. I only hoped it was me.
"Draco!" Snapes voice echoed into the room, "you haven't opened your book, like the rest of the class. Do you feel like you know everything already?"
"No sir" I mumbled, before opening my textbook and trying to focus on my studies, rather than the frizzy haired girl in the front."
So sorry that took so long. I just got really distracted by everything. Well it's like 2 in the morning so rather than apologizing for being so slow at writing this really terrible chapter. I'm going to go to bed.
