It had been a month since Gray had left.It went quite fast for both Juvia, Gray, and everyone else. It had been as if no one was missing to the other guild members - Team Natsu always were out on jobs - but to Juvia, she still missed her husband.
Juvia had found out two weeks ago that Team Natsu also left and were gone like Gray. That was what made her all the more angry - more violent. They got to go with him, but Juvia? Well, they might as well just say F you to her- Is what Juvia had been telling herself.
About at that time that she found out Team Natsu was the ones with Gray on the 'special' job of theirs, she also found out why Gray left and what he was doing.
Makarov, Mirajane, and Lisanna had visited the water mage after her absence at the guild for a few weeks, Makarov finally feeling okay to actually tell Juvia what was going on.
He had told her everything while Lisanna was outside playing with Storm - The boy didn't need to hear.
All the things Juvia got told made her blood boil- boil at Gray for leaving her for something he and she knew was stupid. She didn't miss him anymore, she didn't want him to come back. That's how mad she was. And keep in mind Juvia hated the absence of her husband, she'd always want him by her side 24/7.
After they had left, Juvia had crumpled up on the floor crying like a baby. Storm was watching it too, and that didn't make any matters better.
Along the last few weeks after Makarov had told Juvia, Storm had been asking his Mom everyday where his father was. Before, when he asked his mother the same question before she actually knew the truth, she would tell her son that he was out saving the world without them.
Now though? She told him he was never coming back. She explained everything to him- not exactly in the same way- but as if Gray were a villain. Telling her son 'Gray left us' or 'Gray left without telling us where he was going, baby.' Juvia had dropped calling him Storm's Dad infront of her baby, instead calling Gray by name as if he wasn't important.
And now that it had been a month, Juvia was way passed missing her leaving Husband. She could care less about him nowadays. Her and Storm got happy again, acting as if Gray wasn't even in their lives. Well, that was what Juvia thought was happening.
Although Juvia wasn't missing him, Gray sure as hell did.
Along the months of being absent, he had actually been kind of saving the world.
They met up with Jellal and got all necessary information they needed to know. The job was quite simple, though quite long and frustrating.
Independent mages had been planning to murder, or vanish all guilds in the sake of Zeref (who was way passed gone, to tell the truth.)
All the members from Fairy Tail on this special job had to do was get info on how to stop this plan.
The job had been going quite smoothly. They had managed to get useful things from spying on some of the mages and were now devising a plan.
The pregnant Erza had also sneaked into the bar all of the mages went to and listened to conversations, the men and woman oblivious to the fact the girl was indeed spying on them and eavesdropping. It was the least she could do being pregnant and all.
Gray still missed Juvia dearly, but he was more confident in knowing she was fine - Although she wasn't, but Gray didn't need to know that.
He still longed for the day that he could go back home and kiss both his wife and son senseless - of course the man was oblivious to the fact that Juvia didn't want this.
Now that it was a month later, the group finally got to video call master Makarov, letting him know everything was going fine. Gray wanted to ask the one question he had-
"Is Juvia okay?" he asked through the screen to Makarov, completely cutting off Natsu from telling their Master the 'Amazing Tale' of how he had locked one of the master planners on this plan to bring back Zeref in a dungeon.
"She could be better." that was what made Gray's heart drop. "Hasn't been to the guild in forever, I finally told her 2 weeks ago what you were doing. She didn't seem too thrilled" Makarov sighed "She finally showed up a few days ago as happy as ever, I still can tell she is sad about your presence not being around."
"Can- Can I talk to her?"
"I don't think that's a good idea.." Makarov went really quiet
"Why?" Gray's voice was shaking. "Is she okay?"
"Yes, yes. Super fine. Its just, even at the mention of your name, she frowns and is almost in tears.. Well, not anymore. At the mention of your name now, she rolls her eyes." Makarov massaged his forehead.
"Oh….." Gray's smile dropped.
"Sorry, kid. The good news is, is that Storm is happy his father is saving the world."
"That's good." Gray smiled and turned away, walking over to sit on the chair behind the camera as he slouched.
All he has been telling himself about Juvia being alright- she really wasn't.
