Chapter 22: It's Time!

Jordan and Vanessa since moved to another apartment within the same complex that they were living in since the baby was due at any time now. They fixed up the nursery and even packed up a hospital bag for Vanessa so they could grab it quick and leave when it was time to go. Throughout the pregnancy Jordan has been pleasuring Vanessa like getting up in the middle of the night for cravings and tending to her every need and desire. One day they were having Nick and Mia over for brunch and Vanessa felt something and looked down and it looked as if she peed her pants but really it was her water breaking.

"Umm, Guys.. not to be a bother but my water just broke." Vanessa exclaimed.

Jordan quickly grabbed the hospital bag while Nick and Mia got Vanessa into the car and off they went to the hospital. Once they were there the hospital staff brought a wheelchair for Vanessa so that they could get her into labor and delivery fast. They got her into a bed and monitors hooked up to her so that they could monitor the contractions, the baby and Vanessa. Meanwhile, Jordan was pacing the floor just as nervous as nervous can be. Nick and Mia were sitting down calling everyone that they knew in both boy bands to come down here. They all came down to the hospital with one of Donnie's cousins Sabrina Lowe since she was in town visiting and wanted to be there for support. The Doctor finally came out and saw all of them there and pulled Jordan to the side.

"Jordan, I am Dr. Green and if you want you can put on a gown and a cap and follow me into the delivery room. Vanessa isn't too far off from delivering your baby girl." He said.

Jordan quickly put on the gown and the cap and said bye to all of the people that came out to the hospital to support them. He went into his wife's delivery room and saw a nurse in there talking her through a contraction. He quietly went to Vanessa's side and held her hand through it. When it was over she looked at him and said,"WHERE WERE YOU?" Jordan could see that the pain was affecting her mood and attitude so he went into the hospital bag to get one of her focus objects which was their wedding photo in a frame. She calmed down after that and the Doctor came in and told Vanessa that it was almost time to push so they got her into position and told her to push and Vanessa pushed till they told her to relax till the next push. That went on for 10 minutes till the Doctor said,"Alright Vanessa.. give me one last push." So Vanessa pushed with all of her might and out came their baby girl in the doctors arms crying her head off. They cleaned her up and wrapped her in a blanket and gave her to Vanessa to hold. After they gave her to Vanessa they asked for a name.

"Kalani Ann Knight" Vanessa told the nurse. 

The Nurse wrote it on the hospital card that was in the bassinet along with the birth date and the time that she was born. She then left them alone for awhile and told them that they could have visitors but only 2 at a time. Jordan kissed Vanessa and Kalani and told Vanessa that their friends were out there in the waiting room to support them and that he'd be right back with the first two visitors. Jordan walked out to the waiting room and announced that Kalani was born and he was engulfed in one huge group hug by his bandmates and his brother. Once he got out of the hug he told them that only two visitors at a time could go in and see Vanessa and Kalani and he picked Nick and Mia first since they were there since Vanessa went into labor. The three of them walked down to Vanessa's room and into the room to see Kalani for the very first time.

"OMG Ness! She is so beautiful!" Mia said.

"Congrats Vanessa. I know that you must be tired so we won't stay long." Nick said.

"Thanks guys." Vanessa said smiling and then looking down at Kalani.

The Nurse came back in after a couple of minutes and told them that both Vanessa and Kalani needed their rest so they all left and went back home except for Jordan which stayed in the room and sat down on a chair.
