"Mr. Iaro, could you help me collect their paintings?" I was yanked from staring off into space. "Okay." I said. I looked at the clock. Wow. It was almost time to go home. As I collected their papers, most students simply gave me curious looks and walked to their lockers. One walked up to me and complimented my lip ring and asked if it hurt. Some video game nerds walked past me and called me a newb. Kids these days are weird. Obsessed with their screens. Then I felt a small tap on my shoulder. I let out a little shriek and heard a pleasant laugh from behind me. I turned around and saw that it was Mr. Way. "Hey Mr. Way. Sorry about that." He  smiled. "Please. Call me Gerard. We should be on a first name basis if we are going to be working this close. What should I call you?"   He glanced at me oddly. "My first name is Frank."
"Alright. I'll call you Frankie then." Mr.-Gerard said, smiling. "Alright. Then I'll call you Gee." Me, being super nonchalant about it, asked, "Do you mind if we exchange numbers, just in case I have any questions about this whole teaching thing?" Did I really just say that out loud? Judging by the chuckles and giggles of the students trickiling in from their lockers, I did. "I wouldn't mind at all." He replied. After that, I walked to my car as he wached the buses roll away.
