As the six of us get to the Hospital's garage, we have already learned each other's names.
Josh Sulavan, a male surgeon, 23
Julian Virsil, a male nurse, 20
Allison Hemingway: a female scientist, 18
Opila Smalk; a female nurse, 19And a person that would soon become my friend;
Scarlet Cullins: a female student nurse, 19
We split up into two groups of three:
Julian, Allison, and Opila in a red armored pickup truck. And
Josh, Scarlet and me in a black armored Swat Van.

.
A few hours later, Josh was driving as me and Scarlet we're talking, girl to girl. We discussed what was the most important to get on our trip:
Bandages, Syringes, clothes, any sort of medication, and weapons. We were completely defenseless.
"Were here." Josh said as he parked in a super market parking lot.
"It's empty." Scarlet says, in awe.
I open the car door as quietly as possible, and closed it just as carefully.
I walked very slow, so I don't make any noise; it was difficult since I was walking on gravel.
In what felt like 10 minutes, I finally reached the door with Scarlet just behind me.
"Should we split up?" I asked, quietly.
She shook her head no and we continued are way through the supermarket aisles.
In the matter of minutes we were in a car with it almost full of supplies, but Josh didn't turn back to drop it off. Instead he kept on driving in the same direction for what seemed like hours until we stemmed to be in a deserted western town.
He got out of the car and pulled out a tiny glock, and put the barrel in his mouth.
What happened next was one of the most disturbing moments of my life. There was a loud bang and Scarlet clung onto me and wouldn't let go.
We were stranded and neither one of us knew how to drive, all hope was lost.
