The sound of the breeze relaxed me as it blew the leaves of the trees, making them rustle.
Holding my backpack's strap, I continued to walk home from school.
After a long day, all I want to do right now is to watch Hope Mikaelson battle some more mythical creatures.
Yeah, I'm a fan of Vampire Diaries and the Originals. Can't forget about Legacies, of course.
I can't really be blamed, the shows are pretty cool.
Feeling excited, I decided to take a shortcut home.
The alley isn't that dark in the day time and when I come out of the other side, it's just another street.
So, might as well.
Our town is pretty small and tight knit. Everyone knew everyone.
Two more blocks and I'm home, but the sound of the phone in my back pocket stopped me from my walk home.
"Yes, mom?", I asked.
"I left to go buy some groceries sweetheart, I'll be back in an hour", she said, warning me that I'll be in my lonesome as soon as I get home.
I'm okay with that, it's just how I like it.
I am now one block away from home and I noticed a few students from the other high school playing soccer in their front yard.
I continued to walk, but now I was a bit more faster than my previous pace.
I was hoping I wouldn't get noticed, but the universe wasn't working with me today.
The sound of a whistle stopped me from my tracks and I turned around.
I attempted to roll my eyes, but I saw two of the guys walk towards me.
"Hey sorry about this dude, he can be a pervert sometimes. We don't really whistle at girls. Well, I don't. I don't know about him.", the guy with the brown eyes said as he lightly slapped his friend's chest with the back of his palm.
"Wow. Way to throw me under the bus man", the other guy with the blue eyes said as he raised his arms.
At the sight of these two cute boys bickering, I couldn't help but laugh.
"We don't whistle at girls dude", the brown eyed dude said and he sounded like an old lady scolding her grandchild.
His blue eyed friend rolled his eyes and said, "Whatever dude. I'm just gonna go now. Nice meeting you."
Seeing his retreating figure, I began to walk back home again.
"Hey wait!"
When the sound of a now familiar voice evaded my ears, I stopped once again.
The boy with the brown eyes stood in front of me with the sun now hitting his face.
His eyes seemed more brown and it looked like a pool of honey.
His movements seemed to slow down and I couldn't help but notice the little things about him.
The way his hair was all messy and the dimples that comes out when he smiles even the slightest bit.
I noticed he was talking due to the movements of his lips, but I couldn't hear a thing.
I was too busy gawking at his handsome face.
A few seconds later, I awoke from my trance.
"Are you okay? You kinda just- never mind."
I bit my lip in awkwardness and I apologized.
I can't believe I did that! That isn't like me.
"It's all good," he replied and I told him to repeat what he was saying.
"As I was saying, before you started daydreaming, can I get your number?"
The feeling of surprise couldn't even describe what I'm feeling right now.
Why would anyone even want my number?
"You seem kinda chill and I kinda want to get to know you more", he said with a smile, making his dimples show.
"Did you just ask me on a date?"
A chuckle left his lips and I raised my eyebrows.
"Well?", I asked.
He nodded his head and said, "Yeah, I am."
I took out my phone and he typed in his number for my contacts.
When he returned my phone into my possession, I felt his fingers slightly touch mine.
Oh lord.
The beating of my heart seemed to become faster by the minute and I was scared that if he comes even more closer, he might be able to hear it.
Looking at my new contact, I saw the label he put for his name.
"Future Bae", with a red heart.
I looked up from my phone to see his retreating figure.
"See you on that date", he said, flashing me another one of his knees weakening smile.
Dimples.
Those freaking dimples.
