'so uh, where's-where's danny?' alissa smiled awkwardly at jesse and he cupped her face in his hands.
'you're so cute, you know that? i think he'll be back in about an hour. let's hope joey's made a start on dinner!' he laughed.
alissa cringed hard at the mention of joey's name. 'you know what? i love you all so much, but why don't me and you go out for dinner?'
jesse took her hands in his. 'ally, you can't hide from joey forever. what's the big deal? it was 10 years ago.'
yeah, alissa thought to herself. i'm being pathetic. confidently, she strode into the kitchen. 'oh, hi, joey' she smiled. she gave him a quick pat on the shoulder, much to his excitement. 'oh.. hi! you miss me?'
'um...no' alissa laughed, and he knew she was joking. 'it's great to have you back, ally.' joey nodded at her and she gave him a brief smile before turning to jesse. 'so..what now?'
'anything you want.' he smiled.
she loved him.
she knew she loved him.
