Each day Demi and Nick met and talked she got happier. He got happier. Every text, call, every word made Demi get butterflies in her stomach. It was a good feeling. A peaceful feeling of love, and the sweet sound of giggles and chuckles coming from the room down the hall of the hotel everyone was staying at.
It was raining a few hours ago, the rain drops were hitting the window in a pattern that was so perfect it made a rhythm as it fell. Nick and Demi were only in the room for a few hours they were talking about life and how much they loved how things were going for them.
Humble as they spoke.
Demi couldn't stop smiling she was thinking about how much her life and her perspective changed since that first day she met Nicholas Jerry Jonas. The perfect name for the perfect person. Demi didn't say that often you know the word perfect. She thought it but never said it. But for Nick he was truly perfect, it was the one time she was comparing herself to someone perfect. Nick was perfect for just being the wild spirit he was, how calm, organized, and simply beautiful he was.
As she thought about all this she couldn't stop smiling, Nick noticed her adorable smile. Who wouldn't have. Demi and Nick entwined fingers and smiled as they did so. They started off as just sitting next to each other, but by the end of the 2nd hour they were there they ended up closer than they have ever been. Fingers entwined. Close, Together, they were Complete.
The only thing that snapped them from their own little world was a loud knock at the door. Which was from Joe, Nick's older brother. He screamed into the door that they had to be down in the lobby in ten minuets. They rolled their eyes at that one. They didn't want to go, they wanted to be like that forever. They wanted to stop the world. Together.
But alas they couldn't so they got up at the last possible minuet and took the long way to the lobby. Giggles coming from Demi small laughs coming from Nick all the way down to the bottom floor. Anyone who say them would smile and think they were two teenagers in love. To other people when they were around each other they weren't the Disney stars Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas. They were just two people who were happy together. Nothing could break them from their trance; of pure happiness.
Demi had gotten better a little bit at a time, she had tried and tried for the one thing that had gotten her out of her bed in the mornings. The mornings that were like all the others before she met Nick. They were dreadful.
Nick and Demi were down the stairs with thirty seconds to spare enough time to smile at each other that made everyone in the room to feel something. Just like they did each and everytime they looked at each other. A small smile, eyes focused on each other was all they needed. To communicate and know what the other was thinking. It was like they were the only two in the room. Nick and Demi.
When they were leaving the hotel hand in hand Demi's head rested on Nick's shoulder. The perfect fit. Made for one another. They walked swiftly got in the two black cars and drove to a little breakfast diner that was just down the road. Her time with Nick made Demi forget about her issues as people called them. It made her feel something other than unhappy. Something other than sad. Like always but Nick had something that many of the other boyfriends Demi has had in the past years different. He was different in a perfect way to Demi. But that feeling didn't last for long, as soon as they pulled up to the diner Demi's stomach churned. Nick sensed this and gave her a squeeze. Telling her she could do this, that he loved her, and that he believed in her. That's all she needed.
I guess if someone had discovered that all Demi needed was a little push, someone to let her feel like that cared. But nobody ever did except for Nick. If Demi could ever repay him she would've, she would've done anything. They walked in the diner and sat in the far corner next to a sign that read "Love your other half" it was a picture of an egg hugging it's self, it was something Demi would've never even looked at twice. Not even a glance but this one made her feel something.
Demi had no idea what to order, she didn't want to but for Nicks's sake and her own she ordered the same thing as him. Two eggs sunny side up, bacon, and a slice of toast on the side. The food came quicker than Demi had anticipated, at first she couldn't do it, she wanted to run far away and never have to face something like this again. But Nick's reassuring smile have her that little jolt she needed.
She started eating.
