How Judging Works

Each judge in each category will be reading the same 8 books in their respective category. I'll let you know when you can start judging. Don't judge before I tell you as I don't want you to read a book that might later get disqualified, or if a participant drops out, etc. Once a category is completed I may let those judges of that category start judging early.

This is going to be the basic set up of how you'll be judging the books and how you'll send the scoring back to me, which you'll PM to me on this account. If you still have any questions don't hesitate to ask me.

This is just an example. And a pretty lousy one at that. When I actually judge the books they will be more detailed and descriptive than this and I would prefer if you did too.

The formatting of the books judged should be turned in to me like this:

Example-

Book title: Did You Order An Assassin?
Author: @kpop_trashbag
Category: Min Yoongi
Cover & Title (7/10):
The cover's nice, very eye-catching and intruding. It fits with the plot perfectly.
The title is interesting, something different. Although long, it fits with the plot.
Description (7/10):
The description is fine, though it doesn't have that factor that hooks me in right away.
Plot (29/35):
The plot isn't something totally new but I like how they made it different from the usual overused plot. I like where the plot's going.
The characters could be fleshed out a little more, but overall they were displayed nicely and they captured their personalities well.
Diction/Writing Style (16/20):
Writing style is fine though I thought it could be more detailed, especially the character's emotions. The writing was very descriptive though, which creates a scene in my head but using more of that show don't tell would be good. Everything was pretty clear, I didn't find it confusing.
Grammar (11/15):
There are some grammar mistakes, just simple errors that can be fixed by proofreading.
Overall view (6/10):
I liked the book. The plot was different from the usual and I found it interesting. It was written nicely and I could picture the scenes in my head. Each character's personality was displayed nicely but could still use some more improvements.

Total (76/100)
