I stepped out into the warm air. I looked around, not knowing where I was. It didn't look like how the plains were described to me. There was lush grass and an abundance of colorful wildflowers blanketing the ground for as far as I could see. In the distance I thought I could see smoke. I turned around to check if the mirror was there, but I saw nothing. "What a curious thing." I noted to myself and began walking through the aromatic field. A pleasant breeze blew some of my (h/c) hair into my face. I started laughing, but I didn't know why. Maybe because it was the first time in a while I was somewhere so peaceful.

The distance was an illusion. I walked for a few hours before I reached the top of a hill. As I came over the hilltop I spotted the source of the smoke. There was a house. It was quite large. I walked to it, interested to know who was there. I quietly approached the front door and pressed my ear against it, checking if I could hear anything. Silence.

"Hello? Is anyone in?" I lightly knocked on the heavy wood. "Excuse me?" I knocked again and waited for a few minutes. I didn't want to enter someone's home without permission but I was tired from such an emotional day and I'd need all of my strength to face the wizard. Some water and a snack wouldn't have been bad either. It was unlocked. "Hello?" I called out as I stepped in. I quietly closed the door behind me and stepped up onto the main floor. "My goddess." I was stunned. Books and scrolls littered almost every surface. Dirty plates and clothes were mixed in as well. There was a hearty fire in the corner which gave a nice warmth. "Is anyone home?" I took off the cloak I was still wearing and folded it neatly on the couch. "I mean no harm." I bit my lip and looked around.

There was a staircase leading upstairs on the far wall, and a door at the base of the stairs. I carefully walked over to the door and knocked on it gently. "Excuse me?" No answer. I turned the doorknob slowly and guided it open. "Oh my..." The room's walls were made of doors. I couldn't even count how many doors there were. Each one was different and labeled with a location. I stepped into the room and looked around. I spotted a door painted white with a gold plate above it. "Tesslinia Castle Town". I reached forward to open it, not knowing what to expect.

"Hey! Who are you? How did you get in?" I spun around to find a young boy standing in the middle of the room.

"Ah...I knocked on the door and did not hear anything. It was unlocked...I'm sorry." I bowed my head. "I'm traveling looking for someone and I'm exhausted and need a place to rest."

"You can't be in this room. Hurry and follow me before he comes back."

"He?" The boy took my hand and pulled me out of the room.

"How did you get here?" The boy had messy chocolate brown hair, round chubby cheeks and pretty hazel eyes.

"I-I...I'm actually not quite sure..."

"It's impossible for you to be here." He quickly paced around the room.

"I...I don't mean to bother you. I will be on my way, but I ask for one glass of water if I may."

"Fine. But then you have to leave, before he gets back!"

"Who exactly is...he"

"My teacher. He doesn't like visitors." The boy hurried over to me with a glass of water and a small apple.

"Thank you." I drank the water in one gulp and handed the cup back to the boy.

"Y-you have to go!" He pulled my hand and shoved my cloak into my arms, but everything stopped when the back door swung open. A tall figure emerged, sluggishly walking into the room with his head down. He didn't acknowledge anything and plopped himself down on a chair by the fire. As he sat, his long blonde bangs swayed to the side and I got a glimpse of his face.
