Npacer sat on moray towers. The stage wasn't being used in turf league or ranked today, so she thought being here alone would benefit helping her improve her skills. After all, she was on emperor's team. So she had to always have the best of skills. Aiming down below at a balloon she had tied to the ground, Npacer aimed her splatterscope, making sure it was locked on precisely before firing. The balloon exploded into shreds with a satisfying popping noise. The empress nodded with satisfaction, reaching in her bag for another balloon. She paused though, hearing a shot that she recognized of a splat charger. Odd. I thought I was the only one here. She couldn't help but let her own curiosity grow, as she placed down her splattscope to investigate. Walking along the towers, the yellow haired inkling stopped at the sight of two familiar faces.
Skull, from the S4.
And headphones from blue team.
"Your aiming is off again." She could hear skull grunt through his bandanna. Headphones had an obviously frustrated look plastered on her face. Npacer couldn't help but think about how cute she looked when she was frustrated. "I'm trying my best alright?" The long blue haired inkling mumbled, and skull rolled his eyes.
Sometimes they really make it hard to believe they're dating.
She couldn't help but feel a pang in her heart at that thought. But Npacer had to accept she didn't get to headphones first, and skull did.
She liked him, not her.
"Look, if your gonna get frustrated maybe train with someone else!" Skull snapped. Headphones looked taken aback. "But we agreed to spend this day together, remember? Or would you rather be with Aviator again?!" Skull looked thoroughly angry now, and Npacer wondered if perhaps she should interfere. Skull stood up, grabbing his weapon. "I'm going home. You can come too when you've cooled off." He began walking down the towers, away from the others. Npacer watched with anger as headphones hugged her knees, burying her face. She immediately got up and grabbed her weapon, running back and shooting a narrow shot of ink right towards headphones. The blue team sniper looked up, startled as Npacer reverted to her squid form, swimming swiftly towards her, and popping up to sit next to her. "Hey." Was all she said. Headphones looked down, slowly letting go of her knees. "H-How long have you been watching..?" The female inkling blushed a golden hue in embarrassment. "Umm... not long? But I got a good idea of what was happening... you ok?" She put an arm around her friend, wanting so badly to comfort her. Headphones only sighed. "I don't know.. I should probably find him and apologize. I probably was making it difficult for him, with me getting so frustrated." Npacer shrugged. "Well, maybe he should just have more patience with you." Silence seemed to invoke the area, the wind blowing their tentacles to the side.

"Are you happy with him?"

The words just came out of Npacer's mouth like they were nothing, and she quickly put a hand over her mouth, looking down with wide eyes at what she said. She could feel headphone's stare burning onto her.
"I.. I don't know sometimes. I love him a lot, but sometimes I feel iffy. Specs says I should just break up with him, and bobble hat and goggles just say whatever makes me happy.. but I don't know what makes me happy." Npacer snook a glance to see headphones was staring at the sky. The empress pulled her into an awkward hug. They stayed like that for a bit before Npacer spoke.
"I um.. I could help you train if you want." Headphones seemed to perk up at this. "Really? You won't get frustrated at me?" Npacer shrugged. "I'll try." She teased, and the blue haired inkling laughed. Npacer and her spent the rest of the day shooting the balloons she brought, helping headphones with her aim and stance. By sunset they were out of moray towers, the golden haired female walking headphones home. They paused once they reached the apartment. "Thanks, for today." Headphones murmured. Npacer nodded politely. "It was nothing really. We can train more tomorrow if you like." Headphones tilted her head to the side in confusion, and Npacer did her best not to blush. "But don't you have a turf match tomorrow?"
Carp she forgot about that.
"There's time before." She lied. Perhaps she could convince emperor to let her blow it off. Headphones smiled, her hand reaching to grab the door knob, before her gaze reached Npacer's.
"Remember earlier when I said I don't know what makes me happy?"
"Yes, I remember."
"I think I found what does."
