Octarian Attack

I should of expected this coming from her she loves all things angsty
Also have a sad song with it to make it even more angsty! :D I feel like it fits them

"The sunset's so beautiful today."
Headphone's voice was a quiet happy whisper, as she nestled closer to her girlfriend Npacer. The golden haired inkling kept her arm around headphones with a side smile. "You've said that 7 times by now." She teased. The blue haired inkling gave a huff. "I know, but I just can't help it." Npacer laughed, until, her phone went off buzzing. She shot her girlfriend an apologetic look before checking who was calling her.
"Rider?"
She couldn't help but let shock into her voice. She only had rider's contact information in there because they had planned a 1 on 1 a while back. Why was he calling her at this hour anyway? Headphones glanced at her phone before resting her head on Npacer's shoulder. "What does he want?" She shrugged. "Dunno." Npacer silently held the phone up to her ear as she answered the call. "Rider, whats-"
"OH THANK COD YOU ANSWERED."
His voice was loud, but nothing compared to the background noise. It sounded like.. shooting? Familiar voices were heard shouting frantically in the background. "GOGGLES TRIED CALLING HEADPHONES BUT HER PHONE WENT TO VOICEMAIL, WHERE ARE YOU TWO RIGHT NOW?!" Npacer held her phone away from her ear at the volume, before putting her phone on speaker. "Rider slow down and stop yelling. Headphones and I are on mount nantai watching the sunset, what's up?" More shooting was heard in the background, and the two girls could hear rider yell to whoever else was there that they were in mount nantai. "Ok, you guys gotta leave, now. Alert the town to evacuate inkopolis."
At least he wasn't yelling.
"Rider? What's going on?" Npacer asked again, more firmly. This time goggle's voice was heard on the phone. "Rider! Help! They're coming!"
"Goggles?! Guys what the heck is happening? Where are you?!" Headphones voice was urgent. Npacer knew she saw him and the rest of blue team as younger siblings, so her worry was rational. "Listen, there isn't much time to explain, but Octarians are coming to invade inkopolis, so get your friends and leave the city!"
Was that Marie from the squid sisters talking? Npacer was even more confused, and now worried at what the stranger just said. Rustling was heard nearby, and the couple turned they're heads to see octoling soldiers emerging from a manhole in the ground. They didn't hesitate to begin shooting, purple ink flying through the air. Npacer stood in front of headphones, taking the damage. "HEADPHONES RUN!" She yelled, wincing slightly at the pain. Headphones was shaking, tears dripping from her eyes. "N-Npacer I-"
Npacer took out her old Splattershot. Every inkling got one when they first started, and since Npacer's splatterscope wasn't good for just carrying around, she always had the Splattershot on her just in case.
How it would handle against high level octoling troops?
She had no idea.
Her only way of finding out was shooting like crazy at the octarians attacking her and her girlfriend. Turning her head slightly Npacer caught a glimpse of headphones trying to escape, only to be tackled and shot at by octolings.
"HEADPHONES"
Npacer swore her scream was loud enough for everyone to hear as she immediately shot at the octoling holding an octoshot right against headphone's forehead. The blue haired inkling was shaking rapidly in fear, blue ink bleeding from multiple spots on her body. The octoling let out a shrill shriek as she exploded into purple ink.
There were no respawn points on mount nantai.
That's one way to get rid of them
Npacer thought with a shiver of dread. She didn't think she had the guts or strength to kill off an entire army of octarians though. Bending down, she gingerly scooped up headphones bridal style, holding her close as she ran down mount nantai, as fast as she could go. Her legs were exhausted, but the only thing keeping her going was headphone's shallow breaths, letting Npacer know her girlfriend was alive. She ran until the moon was in the sky, stars dotting everything. It would of been a nice scene to look at if not for the dire situation. Npacer stopped running when the shooting noises were gone. The only sound in the air were crickets chirping against the night wind in the woodland forest she was in. The golden haired empress collapsed to the ground, tears pricking her eyes as she clutched onto headphones. "Are you ok..?" She asked in a whisper. Headphones coughed, blue ink dripping from her mouth. "I-I'm fine. Are... Are you ok?" Npacer noticed her girlfriends eyes were on her arm, and she looked to see it was bleeding golden ink, which looked more amber in the night. She nodded her head. "Yeah I'm fine. Goggles and rider have a lot of explaining to do." Npacer sighed, taking of her Milky Eminence Jacket and tearing of the sleeves, using them to bandages headphone's arms, and the jacket to bandage her leg. "That should stop the bleeding." She murmured. Headphones only gave a weak nod, closing her eyes. Npacer shook her frantically. "Headphones just stay awake a little longer. We gotta wait to help comes." Headphones gave her a small smile. "Aww.." she gave a small cough.
"You care about me."
Her tone was teasing, like it always was when she joked about the normally silent girl opening up. But this time her voice just felt more sincere. Npacer pulled her up into a sitting position and kissed her on the lips gently. They broke apart slowly, and Npacer didn't realize she was crying until headphone's wiped away her tears. She pressed her forehead against headphone's, letting tears slide down her cheeks.

"Please don't cry."
"I just don't wanna loose you."

The sound of shooting was heard faintly in the distance, and it made Npacer freeze in place, until she relaxed ever so slightly hearing it accompanied by ambulance sirens and goggles voice calling their names, and the sounds of rider's dynamo roller splatting someone was heard.
Npacer felt a hand on the side of her face, and she turned to see headphones small smile, making her heart nearly skip a few beats.

"You won't. I promise."
