Midoriya Izuku, Huh? [4]

"What made you like this? You were so sweet when we spoke, I just." Todoroki breathed, hesitating before continuing, "I just didn't expect you to be a villain." Shock was overtaking his mind, he found it to be a struggle to even get out a simple sentence. As the words left his mouth, he noticed the eyes of the boy in front of him widened with an emotion he couldn't quite pin point. The boy was staring intently at the ground and seemed to be deciding his words carefully before he clenched his fists tightly and spoke in a sad yet stern tone.

"I understand that it's a bit of a shock. I didn't expect to see you so soon, I can only hope you don't despise of me because of my association with the League of Villains." The broccoli haired boy turned his gaze up to meet the intense eyes of Todoroki. Although on the outside Midoriya seemed stern, Todoroki could see the sadness and panic woven subtly into every feature of the boys face. He knew from personal experience how looks could be deceiving, and to never trust what someone showed on the outside to be what was going on inside.

In the few moments that had passed since the freckled boy had spoken, Todoroki had been left to stare at the back of his soulmates head. He knew that he couldn't just leave such a vulnerable and mentally tortured soul to go back to the Villains. What kind of hero would he be if he just abandoned such an innocent victim? He couldn't bare to think of how they must treat him. However, his body betrayed him when he tried to move his legs to reach out to the boy, and found that he was stuck in place. He watched as his figure slowly became smaller and smaller, before it soon disappeared into the black and purple streaked portal. A quick glance was shared between the two as the very last parts of the small boy were engulfed in the inky black abyss.

Tears began forming in Todoroki's eyes as the shock finally wore off. He slowly walked out of the large dome shaped building. The events playing back in his mind over and over. The small, green haired boy, vulnerable and impressionable. The betrayal when he found that his soulmate was working with the very people he was being trained to defeat, the enemy. As he made his way outside to meet the rest of his class, he overheard a certain blonde haired hot head begin muttering something angrily to himself. He walked closer to the boy to catch what he was saying.

"Goddamn Deku! I can't believe that he finally shows up after five fucking years, and with the villains?" Bakugo angrily says to himself. Kristina walks over and asks who he's talking about. "The quirkless one with the green hair. He disappeared five years ago when his mum was murdered. They never found a body, but we all just assumed he was dead when he didn't turn up anywhere, until fucking now." As Bakugo was ranting, his fists were clenching so tightly that the veins began popping out. He quickly turned to the peppermint haired boy and creased his eyebrows even more, if that was even possible. "What the hell are you looking at, Icy Hot?" He spat out, venom spitting out of every syllable pronounced. Todoroki simply turned to leave, completely uninterested in having a fight with the explosive boy.

'So, Bakugo and IM have a history. Maybe once he's cooled down, I could go and ask him for a name and any other relevant information.' Todoroki thought as he walked away from the screaming blonde.

The day continued as usual after the detectives and pros were finished with the students. They all went back to school and then left for home. However, Todoroki decided to try and catch Bakugo before he left. He saw the spiky ball of ash blonde hair exiting the school and quickly ran up to catch him.

"Bakugo, I overheard you talking to Kirishima about that green haired villain, and I just wanted to see if you had any information on him!" Todoroki emotionlessly stated. "All I need to know is his name, perhaps what your relationship was with him an~"

"THAT GODDAMN DEKU IS NOTHING! HE IS A QUIRKLESS NOBODY WHO COULDN'T SAVE HIS MUM FROM THOSE VILLAINS AND HE IS A COWARD WHO RAN AWAY FROM HIS PROBLEMS!" Bakugo abruptly turned around to face the bi coloured boy and began screaming, before he calmed down and began walking out of the school gates again, "His name is Midoriya Izuku, and he doesn't deserve to be given any recognition for what he did." With that, he was gone, leaving Todoroki to ponder over everything that Bakugo had said. He felt slightly angry at the harsh words said about his soulmate, but brushed it off as Bakugo being an asshole.

'Izuku Midoriya, huh?'

Bright, blue light illuminated his features, as he worked tirelessly into the hours of the night, determination coursing through him with every second.

'Izuku Midoriya, presumed dead after a years search ended with no leads and no traces of the boy.'

'A woman was found dead in her apartment late this afternoon, pros are still looking for her son who is said to have fled the scene.'

'The ten year old son of Musutafu's latest murder victim, Midoriya Inko, has yet to be found.'

'It is said that the year long search for Midoriya izuku has been terminated after no leads as to his whereabouts.'

'Some pros have begun taking on the Midoriya case to find the missing boy after multiple reports of civilians sighting a boy that matches the description of the now thirteen year old.'

'It appears that the Midoriya case has grown into a widely speculated topic due to the multiple sightings of the boy. Is he alive? Where is he now? How did a ten year old survive on his own for this long? Why weren't there any traces of him? Is there something bigger at work than we realise?'

A small sigh escaped the duel haired boy as he finally retired from his research. Shutting the laptop and closing his eyes, the long awaited sleep consuming him.

Hello,
Hope you enjoyed it, I know that it sounded really weird with the whole time skip thing, but, like, I tried, so don't at me. I didn't really edit this, so there's gonna be some grammar and spelling mistakes, sorry. By the way, I am actually writing another story, it's a BNHA x OC fanfic and I'm super proud of the OC's backstory and the whole concept of the backstory. Anyway, so that's why I haven't really posted anything or written anything on this recently. I do have an idea for the next chapter and I'm sorry for not posting this one sooner, I had it ready and written at like, the end of April, but I really couldn't be bothered to post it. Sorry! Also, let me know if I should wait until I finish or get at least half way through this story before posting my other one, or just give you guys the first chapter, or something like that.
