"You can't be serious." Zev said with a frown settling on his face. He's been in hiding all his life from the hunters. If they captured him they would surely kill him. Now, he had to worry about a witch? Zev was frustrated.

Five years ago Zev experienced his first shift when he was fifteen years old. He remembered how excited he was to have finally gone through the transformation, even though he went through hours of painful bone breaking and sweating, his wish had finally come true. The countless stories of his ancestors told to him by Elric made him desire to shift badly. The idea of it all exhilarated him but Elric failed to mention the hunters.

Days after completing his first change, hunters stormed into the house and nearly killed him. Luckily Elric was right next to Zev and they both managed to escape with minor wounds. Ever since then Zev has made sure not to stay in a place for too long so that the hunters wouldn't have time to track him. But it was now a different story if a witch was trying to find them.

"We needed to leave this place anyways. We've outlasted our stay. Once we find the girl-"

"Aura." Zev butted in.

Elric was puzzled, "what?"

"The girl you keep referring to is named Aura," Zev said and placed a cigarette between his lips. "Now let's go before it's too late."

Zev lit his cigarette and with a big inhale he made his way out of the cave, his exhale of smoke traveled behind him and into Elric's shocked face.

Aura was currently waving at her parents and Giselle as they drove away. After receiving the reward money for the bear, dad decided it would be a good idea to take a vacation. Aura didn't tag along simply because...

"Ouch." A wave of pain rolled down Aura's body and she quickly made her way to her bed before her legs gave out. The pain was more tolerable than before, Aura came up with the most reasonable cause of it. After all the excessive work she did to her body in the forest it was probably healing and she most likely has reached the final stages. In the next few days she'd be back to normal.

Aura threw herself onto her bed, but not before completely undressing herself. For the past couple of days she's had a high fever and it hasn't lowered, for all she knew she actually felt the heat coming off of her body increasing. Usually a typical night in her room was freezing and she was wrapped in her blankets. Aura didn't know which was better. Aura closed her eyes and just when she was beginning to doze off a strong flash of heat filled her body causing her to reopen her eyes.

"I should probably-"

Aura froze completely and looked up. She had just heard a sound come from the floor above her. Had her parents forgotten something? With much effort, Aura pulled herself up and wrapped a white robe around her slender body. She wanted to see her parents one last time before they left for their one month vacation to California.

Aura hissed as another wave of pain hit her while she made her way upstairs. It was always at unexpected intervals. The pain dulled over and she quickly reached the top of the steps and walked into her kitchen.

"Hey mom? Dad? Did you guys forget something..."

Aura's voices trailed off as her field of vision caught something in the corner of her eyes. It wasn't her parents nor Giselle. Aura found herself looking into a pair of familiar golden eyes, in which made her scream in shock. Her hand flashed towards the side of the wall and she flipped the switch, illuminating the dark room.

There, in all his glory, stood Zev Alían.

"What in the world was-" Elric, who just walked through the backdoor started to exclaim before an enraged shout interrupted him.
