P.S. I like cheese but it messes with my stomach :,)
P.P.S. Here's chapter 2 I put all my heart and soul into it ok goodbye. :,) (A/N)

It was finally time for the festival; and every single person in town, small and large came out to play and socialize. Most of the adults were either drinking, watching over children, or playing poker and gambling.

Woods was sitting in the back row of seats near the stage where the play would be, talking with some of his friends.

"Hey! hey! Remember the time when Finley and Annabella got stuck in the door at the beginning of school that one day?!" Vick smiled. "Everyone laughed, and I mean everyone. It looked like a comedy act!!"

The group of kids all chuckled. But when Abby spoke up, everyone went dead silent.

"Remember when Joshua Verba and Joshua Lahr had an actual chicken fight?!" The small crowd of kids bursts out laughing, even Woods, who was seen as the quiet kid.

"Yeah yeah, I remember that!" Joshua Verba sounded excited with his words. "We got suspended for like, a week!! But it was TOTALLY worth it. My mom wasn't so happy, though. Said 'chickens are for raising, not for fighting'. But I think I can do whatever I want with chickens, they are clueless and dumb, so why not fight with them?!"

Woods let out a chuckle."My boss scared the shit out of me this morning. He just appeared out of nowhere!! Like, DUDE GIVE ME A WARNING BEFORE YOU SCARE ME LIKE THAT!!" Small chuckles scattered through the crowd.

"Yeah, you scream like a girl by the way." Abby gave a smug grin.

Woods blushed out of embarrassment."I-I only scream like a girl some-sometimes..."
Abby, who now had a sweet smile glued onto her face, dimples showing. "Aww, you're blushing~"
"I-I am not!!"
Woods was obviously disagreeing, in which Vick; who was seen as the smart one, spoke up.

"Denial. Noun. The action of declaring something to be untrue." Vick gave a nerdy grin as he motioned an invisible pair of glasses being pushed up the bridge of his nose.
Everyone lets out a groan, but a few chuckles are heard between Vick and Abby, who are now giving each other a high five.

"Is your soul purpose just to annoy me?" Woods scoffed.

Woods liked his friends, a lot. They had been there for him when his boss had "accidentally" hid the beetroots in a frog pond, which was honestly a traumatizing and horrifying experience.

Although they did tease each other a lot, that's just how they expressed their love. Woods only had a few friends, with Abby being the closest; but that was ok. He only needed a few friends.

Woods did a head count, making sure everyone was there. "Joshua...Vick...Abby...Hey, where's Vinni?"

"Ah, which one? Vinni Gregory or Vinni Talsman?" Joshua spoke.

"Which one do you think? Vinni Talsman has been out of town for over a year" Woods sneered.

Joshua pointed to a boy with messy brown hair, who is carrying a crate of peaches. He looks exhausted."Anyways, Vinni is over there. He's been having to deliver peaches to the mayor for the past month. This is the biggest load he's had to do. Poor kid."

A wave of sighs reaches over the crowd of children.

Vick suddenly snickers, which causes the children to look over at him. "May as well call him Vinni and the giant peach." Woods didn't like that, so he blurted out, "I'll turn you into a giant peach if you don't shut up" Everyone made an "ooooohh" sound, and the person in front of them spat out their tea. Vick, of course, was now bright red all across his face.

The person who spat out their tea turns around and looks at the kids with a sneer facial expression. Everyone looks at the man with a deer in the headlights kind of look, completely shocked.

"Nice one, blondie" The man blurts out.

"ahhhh, thanks. I guess?" Woods raised an eyebrow, locking eyes with the stranger.

The man was strange. Not a pedophile kind of strange, but the "he wore a mask" kind of strange. He wasn't an average weight, either. 180 pounds at maximum, is what it looked like to Woods. And he was taller than the average height.

Woods maintained eye contact with the man for an uncomfortable amount of time; all of the kids were dead silent.

Suddenly, the man got up. "well, nice talking to you, kid. I'll see you on the other side of the bridge" The man walked off into the forest, leaving woods to wonder, "what bridge?"

The children look at each other in confusion.

"Ok, what the fuck just happened." Abby blurts out.

Just then, it starts raining again; it wasn't settling into a heavy rain over time. Alas! They had nowhere to take shelter, as it was pouring rain now.

With their clothes and hair sopping wet, they decided to hide under some trees at the edge of the forest.

Suddenly, Noam came up to Woods and grabbed his hand, no context is given.
"H-hey what are you doin- BYE GUYS!!"  Woods yelled as he was dragged away by his boss.

Woods and Noam walked back to their shabby old cabin, having a friendly talk along the way.

"So what do you need me for?" Woods questioned.

"Oh, I just need help with this new idea I have. It's like turning water into wine, but instead, it's turning garbage into plant life" Noam's hair was pressed down onto his head from the rain, and Wood's hair was making the water roll down in droplets, into his face. It was a weird "ability" he has had for almost his whole life, for his hair was practically waterproof.

"Oh wow," Woods' eyes widened. "That-that's actually a great idea!"

Noam nods, and they peacefully walked the rest of the way home in silence. All was well...for now...

(A/N: did I seriously just use "Alas!" in that paragraph. I can't- I just can't. This is what Grimm's fairy tales does to you. But I'm keeping it, Alas is a cool word B) I'm cringing as I'm writing this btw.)

Yes, I finally finished this chapter. It's been ages. Sorry about that.

I really hope you enjoyed this chapter. I have big plans for chapter 3 and 4, so stay tuned.

If you have any suggestions, just put them here ->

Have a nice day!

Sincerely,
~A glass of lemony tea
