Amiera's mind was racing as she thought of what just happened, people stared at her shaking figure. The discontent of the crowd was evident. I'll be back for you, echoed through her head. She wanted to pretend that she didn't know what the meaning behind those words were, but she did. Everyone did.
"Amiera! Honey where are you?" the distressed call of her mother drifted towards her. Pushing through the crowd she finally found the comfort of her mother. She was embraced by two frail arms. Relief flooded over her, she was never good with attention and having all these people's eyes hanging on her every move was distressing. Both women shared a look, Amiera's desperation to leave was clear.
"Can we go?" she whispered, afraid that if she said it too loud that she would draw more attention to herself.
The car ride home was silent, neither wanting to acknowledge what happened at the ceremony. Both knowing without a doubt that he will be back soon, it was evident in the look he gave the frightened girl as he departed. Guilt rushed through her at her sudden eagerness to see the brooding man again.
She broke out of her thoughts as the little house came into view, the freshly painted white walls that Amiera and her mother spent hours doing shine brightly in the dull light. She trudged up to her room after her mother unlocked the front door. As she walked into the small bedroom, she immediately noticed the feel in the atmosphere was different. A hint of cologne lingered in the room, she rushed to examine the room, making sure everything was in place. Nothing seemed out of place. Sighing softly, she turned to face the door. Her eyes widened at what was pinned to the door, a small black envelope and an awakening rose. What the hell? The alarm that bounded through her was disturbing, someone's been in her room. She quickly unpinned the envelope, it was from him. 'How on in the lords name did he get in her room?'
'Three days, I'll be waiting.'
Xiomar La Kastanfi
Her heart stopped.
The note fell to the floor. She needed more time, wanted more time.
She realised that he had bought her favourite flower. An awakening rose with a streak of crimson.
Little did Amiera know that only a couple of meters away stood a large figure watching from the shadows that the trees provided.
He watched as she dropped the envelope, a small smirk worked its way upon his seemingly emotionless face.
"You have only known her for three hours and she's made you smile more than any of us have" Tyronian teased, as he walked up from behind.
"I'm not sure how your dearest mate is going to feel once she's aware of the fact that you watched her from her bedroom window, you seem like a crazy stalker If you ask me" his best friend jokingly shuddered.
"Good thing no one is asking you" The growl that escaped him was vicious, he turned around to face his slightly older friend.
"Let's hope she can bring out some humour in you" he muttered as he walked off.
Xiomar watched as he walked deeper into the trees, the branches disguising him. He turned back around to watch his little princess. She looked deep in thought as she laid sprawled out across her bed. He could see the worry and fright plastered across her face. The lupo in him came close to the surface, the worry and concern the animalistic side was feeling, rushed through Xiomar's body. He didn't like her being frightened, especially when the cause of the fright was them.
"She's beautiful" He whispered, the hum of agreement that came from Vincenzo sounded through his mind.
He examined her small body, her wild mane of hair spread across the pillows.
Vincenzo was tranquil, for the first time.
"Xiomar, we need to leave" Tyronian said from beside him, so lost in thought he didn't notice him walk up. Xiomar growled as Tyronian put a hand on his arm.
"You'll see her in three days, we have to leave" He snatched his arm back, Vincenzo growling his disapproval at leaving
As much as Xiomar hated to listen to others commands, he was right. They had to get back to their territory. It doesn't help that the Alpha of the territory is unaware of their presence in his boundaries.
Sighing he looked back at his beauty. His gaze lingered for a few seconds before he turned around and trudged into the forest.
Three days.
He can last three days.
