Time was one of the things Pete Wentz didn't have. In fact, barely anyone had time. Everything had a time limit, even marriages. And Pete was so tired of seeing that count down all over the house. It was everywhere went. So as a result, he stopped getting close to everyone he dated. And he regrets it.
His first relationship was with a guy named Gabe. He loved Gabe, and would still do anything to be with him, but the timer slowly went down. It bothered Pete so much that once they only had a week left together, he started distancing himself from Gabe. But Gabe understood, he saw the timers too, and thought it was for the best.
His next one was with a dude named Brendon. This relationship was worse, they didn't even like each other, but couldn't leave each other until the timer went off. All they were just two strangers living in the same place. Brendon was a good guy though.
This one time he dated this guy named Patrick. God, during that relationship, Pete felt horrible. Patrick was so sweet, and wanted to make it work, but Pete was stubborn, and didn't want to fall in love again. So they never got so close, yet they ended up being friends. But now, the timer still mocks him.
Now Pete was here, waiting for another date. He has no idea why he does this to himself, when he knows it's going to end up in tears. The timer for their date slowly went down. He's an idiot, pete thought, he didn't even know what the guy looked like. Mikey, that's his name, that's all he knew.
After five more minutes, the timer flashing that there's only 45 minutes left, he saw someone run to Pete's table.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry I'm late," The man gasped, he seemed short of breath from running.
"Hey, it's fine," Pete assured, he couldn't help but let out a smile. "I'm Pete."
"Mikey, all though you probably knew that," Mikey laughed. "I'm such a mess right now. I'm so sorry."
"Hey, it's fine," Pete smiled, "I'm always a mess." And a much as Pete hated himself for it, he liked mikey.

After two days, Pete tried to distance himself, he didn't want to fall in love again. Yet, Mikey caught his act, and asked what's going on. So Pete spilled, he spilled everything, some part of him hoping it will scare Mikey into leaving. It didn't. It just made them closer.

Pete absolutely despised two things, that timer, and himself, for letting him fall in love.
It was July when it happened, Mikey convincing Pete to come with him and his family. And when he means family, he means brother. Pete didn't mind, Gerard was cool, and he got to be with Mikey.
As soon as the fireworks went off, the butterflies in Pete's stomach went crazy, they haven't slept at all since him and Pete started dating. It was the perfect moment for anything.
"Hey, Mikeyway," Pete said, watching the fireworks as he leaned on Mikey's shoulder.
"Yeah?" Mikey asked, kissing the top of Pete's head.
"I love you," Pete looked at Mikey as he said that. Mikey looked back, and immediately went to kiss Pete.
"I love you too."

Pete was madly in love with Mikey, and he was tearing himself apart over it. All he knows is that if he were Patrick, he would've gone insane. He had gone to him so many times about his relationship.
