Chapter 2

Athena's POV

Once I found the dead girls' family it was an hour later and I had to spin a story as to how she died. I was still furious with that stupid green-eyed hunter. I didn't have a reason to be upset. I knew from experience that no matter what you do, good or bad, people will judge you regardless. Yet, I couldn't fathom why I explained myself to that hunter.

Bloody hell... I'm too furious and confused to go back to the house. Dad would pick up on it and I didn't want him to know because how would I explain why I'm upset if I didn't have a valid reason to be upset. I am the daughter of Niklaus Mikaelson for fucks sakes. I receive judgment just for being in his company, let alone when they find out about our relationship. I had never gotten upset for their false accusations if it's directed at me. So, why now?

I groaned as I rubbed my palm over my face in frustration. I was on my way to the vampire nest to slaughter all of them. I had to get this anger out or else I'll snap at anyone who approach me. I broke out of my train of thought as I heard my phone ring.

My phone flashed with the name of 'Big bad hybrid Dad'. Yes, my dad can be such a kid sometimes to put his name in my phone like that. That's one of the things I love about him.

"Where are you?" That was his first words to me once I answered.

"On my way to Alcardiyan's vampire nest," I said honestly. He'd know if I was lying or made excuses so what's the use of even trying? Not to mention that I don't fancy lying.

"Why?"

"To kill all of them."

I heard dad chuckled at my blunt answer.

"I'll be there in fi-"

"No, thanks dad. I got this, I need to let off some steam."

"More reason for me to be there, little goddess."

Her father is the only one who calls her 'little goddess' and Athena may complain about being called little but she loved it. He doesn't call anyone that but her and that made her happy.

"Dad, please."

"Athena." He used his 'don't question me' tone.

Cue to eye roll. I wasn't fourteen anymore but he still treats me like I am.

"Don't roll your eyes at me. And yes I know you did."

If I wasn't a bit irritated I would have laughed.

"I haven't had a slip up in years. I got this. Trust me... please."

The line went quiet as I bit my lip hoping that that got to him.

"Fine."

I pumped my fist that wasn't holding the phone in the air in silent victory but disappointment flooded me at his next words.

"But, if you not home in seven minutes. I'll be there."

Then he switched off the phone before I could protest. I shook my head and put my phone away. I wish I can say that I don't believe that he'll come, but I know he will. Damn... now I can't use my hands, it will take too much time. Well, I'll just use my magic.

I vampire sped the rest of the way to Alcardiyan's mansion. I knocked on the extravagant red door and immediately it was answered by a vampire. He took in my scent and looked at me wide-eyed as he could smell the vampire blood still coating my clothes.
