Athena looks at her future self and couldn't help but feel grateful to her for her advice and insight about Hope. It will help when she goes back to her time and change things for the better.

"Thank you."

Future Athena smiles sadly, "My pleasure. I hope you change things when you get back because I don't want this future for you, for us."

Athena shrugs with a secretive smile, "It doesn't seem all that bad. You're with Dean. And he seems to be very acceptive of us."

Future her chuckles with a shy smile, "Yeah, he is isn't he."

Athena's good-natured smile vanished when a sudden thought of earlier popped into her head, "Speaking of Dean... what was that that I sensed earlier?"

"What are you're talking about?"

Athena growled at her trying to play it off, "Do not take me for a fool. I am anything but."

Future her let the pretense fall and straightened her posture even further, as if she was preparing for a fight, "I had to."

"You 'had to'?" Athena repeats with distaste in her voice. "Do our family know?"

She looks to the ground with a shake of her head, "No."

"He is human! A human! A hunter! How could you be so goddamn careless!" She growled. Her bloodlust combined with her anger was not a good thing at the moment.

"Because! For once in my life, I deserved something that is just mine. I deserved something good. I have a right to be selfish. For once in my fucking life. And I will not apologize when it comes to what I have with Dean." Future Athena stood nose to nose with her past self as anger raged around them, making the air static with the clashing of their energies.

"What about our family? What about our pack? What about Hope? You would give all of that up for him?"

"And you wouldn't?"

"It's different!"

"How is it different, huh? Tell me."

"I wouldn't tie my life to his! I would never make myself that vulnerable! He is your weakness now."

Future Athena sneered at her, "Dean has been our weakness from the very start."

"But now, if he dies, you die, we die!" Athena shoves her to the back that made her fly against the tree behind her.

"It's a risk I'm willing to take." Future Athena growled back as she vampire-sped in front of her past self, ready to punch her when both of the Deans came outside to see what all the ruckus was about.

"Enough! Both of you!" Future Dean ordered when he noticed both of them still stood chest to chest, shaking with anger and frustration.

Athena couldn't help but enjoy the pleasurable shiver than run down her spine at the power in his voice. Her wolf was basking in it, wanting to go to him and almost growled at her future self when she went to him.

"Athena?" Dean tried to touch her hand but she flinched out of his reach. Everything that she just discovered coupled with the disgust she saw on his face earlier made her want a little bit of distance from him at the moment.

Dean felt hurt at the action but couldn't ponder on it much when his future self called him, "Dean, go with my Athena to the cabin, I'll make sure she's okay."

Dean kept his eyes on Athena who couldn't even meet his eyes and didn't even protest about his future self making sure she was okay instead of him. He couldn't help but feel slightly betrayed by it. He had noticed how the future him watched her and cared for her. It was obvious as to why but it wasn't needed. That is why he was there. He should focus his thoughts on his own Athena, this one is his. Not future him.
