· Zamari Morrison - A 21-year-old North Division soldier who is always scared about what's going to happen next. He makes friends with Miriam Sachar (Miku Shirata) and trusts her with his life until the last moments of his life. Morrison is shot to death later on in Part 2.
· Miriam Sachar - Miku Shirata under a fake name. She becomes the Lieutenant of the North Division Army (second in command). Her combat skills are extraordinary; she can take on a large group of people at once without burning stamina quickly. Without her, the North Division is doomed.
· General Raymond of the North Division - Leader of the North Division Army. Raymond is extremely harsh and unfair on his army. When Miku is introduced to the army, he quickly becomes impressed and overconfident in winning the war; he doesn't care about anyone else as long as she stayed alive. Raymond dies later on as he is shot for his overconfident behavior.
· Colonel James of the North Division - Raymond's other heavily trusted army member. He is basically a copy of Raymond; they share the same aggressive behavior. James is a tall and young 20-year-old with a short temper. He later disappears in search for Miku.
· General Raylan Patterson of the South Division - Leader of the South Division Army. Patterson is the opposite of Raymond; he is very lenient, calm, and understanding toward his army. Arwel and Kazu end up becoming his left and right hand. He was quickly impressed with Arwel's knowledge of war tactics, which landed him a spot as Lieutenant. Patterson ends up winning the war because of the absence of Miku in the army.
Part 2 opens up with a brief scene of Kobe and Ingrid acting upset from Arwel's banishment from Tochinokori. The focus changes to Princess Miku, who is also feeling the same way that Kobe and Ingrid are. She ends up sneaking out of Castle Valé and steals a horse, riding out of Tochinokori in happiness while being chased by several guards. Night comes, and she then settles down in a forest to rest. Miku ends up meeting Zamari Morrison in the forest. Zamari was trying to run away from the North Division army, the army in which he is a soldier. They are then both found in the forest by General Raymond of the North Division. Morrison is returned and Miku is captured. When Miku is being interrogated, she uses the moniker "Miriam Sachar" in order to keep her identity as a princess hidden. Her anger and rage build up stronger every second she is there and slowly becomes like her power-hungry father.
Arwel's banishment and Miku running away from home both led to them being promoted to the Lieutenant of the Army. Arwel resides in the South Division meanwhile Miku resides in the North. Their combat skills and war knowledge become extremely strong, which makes their power equal. The war begins, and Miku's rage has built up to a point where she can easily take on a group of twenty by herself with no effort. The next day, they are in battle again. Miku takes on a very large group of enemies (about forty to fifty of them) at once. She is beat and bloodied up severely and is almost killed. After several battles and a quick recovery, Miku's bloodlust and rage become out of control. She then says some very insulting words to Zamari, upsetting him and causing him to lose his trust with her. In their next battle, Zamari refuses to help Miku, but she takes action on her own anyway. The South Division then sieges them, slowing them down. Miku runs to Zamari to protect him. She tries to talk things out with him, and Zamari ends up being shot and killed.
Later on, the North Division gains a huge lead because of Miku's power. They siege into the South Division's territory as Miku almost kills everybody. She then notices a South soldier standing by himself, and she charges at him. She is surprised that this soldier is putting up a fight instead of immediately dropping dead. They fight for some time as Miku becomes angry as she is knocked down continuously. She then pins the enemy soldier to the ground with a knife at his throat, only to realize that it is Arwel. They are more than happy to see each other and they both run away to a forest high up in the mountains.
The disappearance of Miku caused the death of General Raymond and the guaranteed quick victory for the South Division. Meanwhile the last moments of the war are occurring, the last chapter of Part 2 is introduced--the final battle, "Statim Finis" (Latin for "the end is near"). Queen Yukina is murdered by Kazu; Miku and Arwel track down Kazu and confront him. Miku notices that Kazu burned down her Haven Valé; she is emotionally harmed by him and stands there, unable to move or control her tears. Kobe and Ingrid then find Kazu, Arwel, and Miku. None of them show a happy emotion toward each other because of the intense environment that was created. The tension becomes high and Ingrid charges at Kazu, knocking him down. The other three pull her off of him, and Kazu quickly scrambles for his rifle and fires two blind shots, striking Ingrid first, then Miku. Arwel snatches Miku's dagger and repeatedly stabs Kazu until he is dead. He then orders Kobe to take Ingrid into Castle Valé so they can receive medical care, Arwel does the same and grabs Miku, who is incapacitated along with Ingrid. Their wounds are dressed as Ingrid faintly says her last words to Kobe and then dies.
Kobe then leaves Tochinokori to honor Ingrid's wish; he goes to throw the cremated ashes of Ingrid over the Sea of Voices. Kobe plans to never return, even though Miku and Arwel have made the promise to make Tochinokori a better place. He still cares for his friends, but he believes that he would have a better life somewhere else.
