The Rock Lee vs Gaara fight will happen first, and then your fight. It's time for the 3rd exam and I'm not looking to lose, I've fought hard to get here and I want to make my team proud. Well maybe not just my team but also Lee, ever since I first met him I knew he was an incredible shinobi. The way he speaks with passion lights my heart on fire and I feel like I can do anything.

As we were walking I saw Lee eyeing Sakura and mumbling to himself about how she was brave and beautiful. It saddened me a lot but I thought about how I could show him how strong I was so I tried strategizing like Shikamaru, every so often looking at Lee. Shikamaru noticed and followed the trail my eyes kept sweeping to. "(Y/n) you're a drag, you know that?" he groaned as Choji and I laughed. "Hey guys!" I whisper shouted to my team. "Wanna hear my strategy for my match?" I questioned excitedly. "(Y/n), making a strategy is good but you should know what your doing first." Shikamaru said. I sighed in aNgEr knowing he was right. "Hey look we're here!" Choji exclaimed with a mouth full of potato chips. I was really tempted to snatch his bag and down it but the adrenaline I had was used to sprint in the building and yell
"YA HOOOOOOOOOOO" Embarrassing my team in the process. "That is some youth you have there (y/n)!" Lee said with fire in his eyes.
My face heated up and my team caught up with me. Asuma nudged me with his shoulder and my face went red. "Are you alright (Y/n)?" Lee questioned. "I-it's th-the running, you see Im...out of breath?" I said the last part sheepishly. "Oh! Well I hope you feel better for the final exam, goodbye!" He said before speeding off.

Asuma and Choji had a smirk on their faces and Shikamaru looked like he wanted to leave and sleep. "What was goin on there (Y/n)?" Choji said stifling a laugh. "N-nothing! C'mon let's go." I said nervously.

Our team walked in and stood in lines listening to awaiting instructions. "Im hungry..." I heard from behind me. "What a drag, there's so many people." Followed after Chojis voice. I was looking around and found Lee, he was looking at Gai sensei, admiring him and I felt my heart rise, he's so cute. I was snapped out of my daydreams with Anko's yelling. "Lord Hokage is going to explain the rules!" She shouted.  "Listen closely, I'm going to tell you all the true purpose of the exams." He spoke. True what? I was really confused but I blanked out and only caught a few key parts, friendship, pride and fighting for power. Wait a minute what? Then this guy walked in saying we need to take a preliminary exam. "Preliminary?! What's that supposed to mean?!" Shikamaru yelled "The first two exams might've been too easy, we didn't expect this many to pass. We need to reduce the number of candidates." WAIT A MINUTE HE CANT DO THAT! "We can't waste the important people's time, so if you feel as if your not in top physical condition s-*wHeEzE" "Geez is this dude ok?" I said "The exams will take place now." He said "Wait we just finished the second exam, can we stop for a second!?" I yelled "What a drag." I heard behind me. "When can we eat?" Choji groaned. "Oh also, the winner will be determined by a one on one sudden death combat match." WAIT THIS IS MY CHANCE TO SHOW LEE HOW STRONG I AM! I silently yes and look up, I can finally prove myself to everyone now.

The first match was Sasuke and this weird sound ninja dude. We all got up to the stands to watch but while Sasuke was battling i was focusing on better things, trying to make a strategy. I'll do taijutsu first to weaken and then jump back and use my fireball jutsu. Not a solid plan, but it should do. Then Lee will finally see I can be better than Sakura. The next match was one of the sand siblings, Kankuro, against a cloud ninja. I watched this battle wanting to see the way the two used different jutsu's. After that Tenten and the sand girl Temari fought. Lee and Gai youthfully cheered for Tenten but the match like Shikamaru said. Temari threw Tenten and Lee went jumped down to catch her. "SHE MAY HAVE LOST BUT THAT IS NO WAY TO TREAT SOMEONE WHO TRIED HER BEST!" "Shut up and take that garbage with you." Temari said Lee put her down and ran at Temari, "LEAF HURRICANE!" He shouted at her. She blocked it easily and said "You really are as dumb as you look." Then smirked. Anger boiled in me and let itself out, "HEY! HES NOT DUMB! HES PASSIONATE, HARDWORKING, AND CARES FOR HIS TEAM SO PICK ON SOMEBODY ELSE!" I yelled Lee's eyes watered and he cried youthful tears with Gai as the medics took Tenten away. I was talking with my team, when Lee came over. "Thank you (y/n), that was very kind." He said before bowing. "N-no problem Lee!" I said back. My team all stared as I turned red and I wanted to crawl in a hole.
