You sighed at another disappointing grade. It was your last year at Hogwarts and it definitely your hardest. You were from a pureblood family and though you didn't believe in your family beliefs of blood purity, all you wanted to do was make them proud. And for the past few months your grades have dropped and your stress levels have increased.

You ran through the corridors to your transfiguration class. You were late once again, due to staying up late to study. You barged through the door, almost dropping your belongings. All eyes snapped to you. "Miss y/l/n," Professor McGonagall snarled, "glad you could make it before the end of the class,"

You frowned at her words then suddenly the bell rang. You huffed, defeated. You quickly rushed to the front of the classroom. Before you could open your mouth, the professor lifted her hand. "You can gain the noted from another student, I will not waste my own time on a student who cannot arrive at a lesson on time,"

You nodded your head, knowing that it will be useless to fight. You walked out of the classroom and towards the charms classroom.

"Y/N!" you heard a voice call you. You turned your head and waited until Draco caught up with you. "Are you alright y/n? You haven't been yourself for a few weeks,"

You shrugged your shoulders, "I'm tired that's all,"

"Y/n," Draco gently grabbed your arm to stop you from walking away. "If you need anything, you know I am here right?"

You nodded your head and walked to your next class, determined to at least take one class on time today.

---------------------------

It was well past two in the morning but you had finally done it. You had found a recipe for potion witch would allow you not to sleep. You poured the liquid into many flasks, ready to be taken whenever you felt like you needed sleep.

You took a breath and drank the leftover. Almost immediately you felt re-energised. You rested your back against the bathroom wall and read the rest of the potion book. It said that only a specific amount should be consumed and at intervals.

It was not a long term solution, but for the next few weeks, it would do. Just until you get your grades up.

Well, that's what you told yourself.

-------------------------------

It had been over a fortnight since you made the potion. You always took one potion before breakfast which would last you until the next time you had to take the potion.

Except for a few days earlier, you started to fall asleep in class. Your teachers were more than furious with you. They were calling you lazy and unorganised since your grades did not increase. That was why you increased the dosage, ignoring the warnings from your potion book.

"Are you going to eat?" Draco asked as you played with your food, pushing it around with the fork.

"No, I'm not hungry,"

Draco gave you a weary look.

"I've got class, I better go," you said quickly. you jumped from your seat to go to your last class for the day was Herbology. You ran down the few steps and you hid behind a corner. You checked for no wonders who would accidentally spot you and you drowned the flask.

"Y/N!" Draco snapped as he ran towards you. He snatched the empty flask out of your hand and gasped at you. "What is this?"

You frowned at him. How dare he yell at you! "Nothing Malfoy, none of your concern,"

"None of my concern?" he raised his eyebrows, "Y/n, you are one of my best friends, don't ever say its none of my concern,"

You rolled your eyes and pushed past him.

---------------------------

It had been a few days since Draco had seen you since he saw you take a potion of sorts. He sat next to Blaise when he arrived at lunch. "Have you seen y/n?"

Blaise shook his head. Draco asked Pansy but she too said that she hasn't seen you.

It was nearly dinner time when Draco was in panic mode. No one had seen you all day and he asked all your teachers if you went to class. No teacher said you were present.

Ignoring the rules, he stormed up to a girl of your house. Draco ordered her to check your room. She obliged and scrambled away.

Draco paced outside his heart racing. After what felt like forever, the girl returned shaking her head. Draco's heart dropped. Where were you?

He turned on his heel and check the abandoned lavatory which he had heard from Granger. He pushed open the door and screamed at the sight. He dived towards you.

Your body was still, pale, and no warmth. The only colour was your blue lips. Draco lifted you into his arms and gently patted your cheek. "Come on y/n, your stronger than this. Come on don't leave me,"

His cries were heard from down the corridor and soon teachers and students were crowding your body.

--------------------------

You gently opened your eyes. Your body was stiff and sore. "Y/n," you heard someone breath in relief. You turned your head to the side and saw Draco in an unkept condition.

"What happened?" you managed to say after a few tries.

"That potion you drank to keep you awake, it almost killed you,"

You closed your eyes.

"Why didn't you tell me y/n? Why didn't you tell me you needed help with your studies?"

Hot tears ran down your cheeks. "I couldn't," you opened your eyes too look at him, "you don't understand the pressure I am under. No matter how much I tried, no matter how much study or help I got, nothing helped me,"

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"It was too much! I couldn't take it, no one would understand," you sobbed. Draco grabbed your hand and clasped it in both of his hands.

"I may not understand y/n, but from now on, I'm going to help you and be there every step of the way."
