You were the disowned, older sister of Draco Malfoy. You were disowned, not because of your house, but because of the ring on your finger. Even though you were in your last year at Hogwarts, you were legally allowed to make your own decisions - to the disapproval of your family.
When your fiancé had asked you to marry him, you said yes. You were thrilled. Your parents on the other hand, well let's just say that they travelled to Hogwarts to make a big announcement. They even forbade your kid brother from talking to you. That hurt you the most. You and Draco were inseparable.
You and Cedric walked to the boats that would take you to the middle of the black lake where he would compete. He stepped into the boat, reaching over to lift you. He held you by the waist and pulled you onto the seat in front of him.
You smiled at him, then spotted blonde hair over his shoulder. "DRACO!" You waved your brother. "DRACO!" Your brother glanced at you, then turned his head away. You closed your eyes, trying to push away the hurt feeling.
"Hey," Cedric rubbed your shoulders, "it's alright. He will learn one day,"
You nodded and leaned back to lay your head on his chest.
-----------------------------
"Please, please be careful," You whispered to Cedric in the champions' tent. Your hands were on his chest, with his arms wrapped tightly around you.
"I promise y/n," he kissed your forehead, then your lips. "I love you,"
"I love you too," with a final kiss, you left to leave the tent. You found a free seat in the stands next to your best friend - coincidently was a few seats in front of your brother. You jumped as the competitors' ere introduced. You screamed Cedric's name along with others doing the same.
You almost yelped in surprise when the cannon sounded. You waved goodbye to your fiancé before sitting back down.
----------------------------
It was only an hour, but it felt almost forever. You were leaning forward with your head in your hands. You felt your friend rubbing your back. You opened your mouth to speak when there was a flash of light.
You stood up, trying to see over the heads of many students. It wasn't even a minute when there was murmuring of the students, "a student is dead,"
"It's Cedric Diggory,"
The world around you went silent. A piercing scream sounded, it took you a few seconds to realise it was your own voice. You pushed away from students, as you stumbled through the crowd trying to get your fiancé.
A pair of arms wrapped around your torso and lifted you off the ground. "LET ME GO!" You screamed, tears streaming down your face. "CEDRIC! CEDRIC!"
Students watched you with sympathy as you were pulled away. You continued to scream. You were then placed on your two feet. You turned to run back to your fiancé but a body blocked your path.
You punched the unknown person's chest over and over again, screaming for them to let you go. Eventually, they grabbed your wrists. You looked up and met with cold grey eyes.
"Draco," you said. "Let me go,"
He shook his head.
"LET ME GO!" You tried to wiggle out of his grip.
"I can't do that y/n. I can't let you see him like that,"
"You don't even care about Cedric,"
"I may not, but I care about you. You are my sister and I am always here for you,"
Your body went limp and you fell into his arms. You held you tightly as you sobbed into his chest.
