CROSSOVER: The Worst Witch x Harry Potter
Sleepily, you opened the door to the staff room. You nodded hello to each of the staff members who were present. You sat at the table next to Miss Drill and reached for the coffee pot. "Coffee this early in the morning is no good for you y/n. Maybe try a healthy smoothie." You grimaced as she passed you a green drink.
"I think I'll stick with coffee."
You rolled your eyes when you heard the door open then slammed. "Whatever is the matter Miss Hardbroom?"
"Mildred Hub-"
"Please Auntie, not so early in the morning," You groaned while reading the school newsletter. You were used to the routine so when Miss Hardbroom's head appeared on your shoulder, you didn't flinch.
"Here's your tea," you passed her the white mug.
"Where's my black mug?"
"I'm using it, my coffee tastes so much better when it's in here," you wondered.
"Honestly y/n, I always wonder you are family," Miss Hardbroom said as she took a seat across from you.
"I don't know," you placed the paper down, "but if you ever find out, please let me know-AHH," you screamed when the paper had rolled up and whacked you on the head. You opened your eyes and glared at your auntie, knowing full well she had a smirk hiding behind the mug.
"Well it's nice to see that the two of you haven't changed since you started working here years ago y/n," Miss Drill smiled.
"It's ten years this year I believe," Miss Hardbroom said proudly. You nodded your head and drank the rest of the coffee.
"Now I do have some exciting news everyone-" Miss Cackle stopped talking when the bell rang. "All well I guess we will all find out at today's assembly."
---------------------------
The bell rang which signalled the end of the last class, which meant that it was time for assembly. You ushered the third years out of the classroom which was located under the castle and directed them to the Great Hall.
You made your way through the students and headed to the podium where the staff sat. You took a seat near the end, next to Miss Hardbroom. Soon the hall quieted down and Miss Cackle stood to her feet to make her announcement.
"Good afternoon girls. Now I know it has been a long day, so I am going to make this quick. In three days time, on Monday, we will have some students from another school come to stay with us for a while. This school has been one of our rivalries for centuries, so their Headmistress Minerva McGonagall and I have decided to end the feud."
Your mouth dropped open. Hogwarts. The one place you hoped never to have heard from again.
"I hope you will make the Hogwarts students feel welcomed when they arrive." Miss Cackle nodded and returned to her seat while the choir stood up to perform on the stage. You jumped when you felt your Auntie's hand grasp yours.
"Did you know?" You whispered.
"No. I suspected but I didn't know for sure."
"I-I have to go," you quickly said and transported yourself to the middle of your room. The room was dark and elegant. A candle chandelier hung above the large bed which was covered in mountains of pillows and cushions. The room had emerald and silver drapes lining the walls.
You walked over to the chest of draws that was positioned opposite your bed. Your hand ghosted over a photo that was taken thirteen years ago. The photo was of the entire Slytherin house in their final year before the Wizarding War.
Your lips quivered when a small movement from a blonde-haired boy caught your eye. Draco Malfoy had his arm wrapped around your shoulders but had snuck a quick kiss to your cheek.
Your fingers ran over the photo and had caught the edge of a smaller photo tucked into the frame. Gently, you picked the paper up. A tear dropped from your cheek when you saw your Father and your Mother holding yourself as a newborn baby.
"You were a bothersome little brat when you were younger," you heard your auntie say from behind you. You let out a small chuckle.
"Let me guess, nothing has changed?" You returned the photo to its spot in the black frame.
"I was going to say you are exactly like your mother," Miss Hardbroom placed her hand on your shoulder. "How are you feeling about Hogwarts coming here?"
"It was a shock. It has been over ten years, Auntie. I will be fine, it's not like I will see any of them again."
"You mean him,"
You turned around and faced Miss Hardbroom. "I am over it. It was in my childhood."
"You loved him. He was your world."
"Yet my world is still standing."
"I don't want you to be alone y/n. I want to see you happy." Miss Hardbroom gave a sad smile.
"I am happy Auntie. I love this school, I love the girls and I love you. I am content here."
"I know. But is that enough?"
