You are a pure-blood, Slytherin with a hate for mud-bloods, however you have respect for those who can stand up for themselves. As long as they don't confuse respect for friendship.

The summer before the start of third year, you used the floo to go to Malfoy Manor to escape the wrath of your Mother. You crippled to the floor in pain, unable to gather any strength.

You heard the clicking of heels from the doorway. You looked up and saw Narcissa gasp "y/n Pandos?"

"Help me," you croaked, that was barely audible. Without a second thought, Narcissa called for Lucius to take you to a spare room where she could heal you in private.

You spent the night and the rest of the summer at the Malfoys. You were thankful that Lucius or Narcissa didn't breathe a word to Draco. You knew that if he knew that you suffered from an unforgivable curse, he would go crazy in trying to avenge you and become more over protective than he already was. It was harder to keep the nightmares hidden from him too, especially when your room was only two doors down from him.

The new term didn't last long before Potter had caused a riot and all students were forced out of their common rooms to sleep. You laid opposite Draco and watched him as he complained about 'stupid Potter.'

"Honestly Black should hurry and kill him already," Draco snarled.

"Don't say that Dray," you hissed quietly. "You shouldn't wish death on anybody,"

Your mind went back to your parents and their abuse. As much as you hated mudbloods, you were jealous as they were never abused for a tiny thing such as breaking a vase. They only received a scolding, never a pain that made you wish for death.

"I'm sorry Panda,"

"Why do you call me that?" you slightly punched him

"Because you are my cuddly Panda that's why," he reached over and tickled your sides. You buried your head into the soft pillow to muffle your laughter.

Malfoy Manor was now a place that you called home. Your parents were more than happy to leave you at the door step of the Malfoy's and even sent you a letter of congratulations.

That letter was now framed in your room.

During the summer, Narcissa whisked you away for shopping for a dress that you didn't know the reason for. She was desperate to put you in a colour that wasn't black or close to, so you compromised with a high-low green dress with heeled ankle boots. Narcissa wasn't pleased in the slightest about your shoe preference but when it came to packing, you managed to switch the sparkly heels for the boots.

There was a reason why you were in the house of the serpent.

When you found out why you needed the dress, you prayed to Merlin or to whatever was listening for Draco to take you. He was the one person that you felt safe with as you found it hard to trust others.

But when you found out that he was taking Pansy Parkinson instead you had to admit you were a bit disappointed. However every thought was forgotten when a hot Durmstrang boy asked you.

You had an absolute blast that night. You managed to cause a 'slight' stir within some mud-bloods and you danced the whole night in the masculine arms of the Durmstrang student.

You paid no attention to the protective eyes of Draco Malfoy as he watched you all night.

The Dark Lord was back, yet you couldn't say anything no matter how desperate you were to say something. Yes, you didn't like mud-bloods, but that didn't give them the sentence to die.
