A week had passed, meaning it was finally time for Remus and Isabelle's wedding. Isabelle stood behind the door to her small dressing room. She looked into the mirror speechless as her white mermaid style gown hugged her top before flaring off after her hips. It looked even better than when she had tried it on the first time.
"You okay?" Lily asked from behind the door. Isabelle managed to make a tiny noise still unable to speak. Slowly she opened the door to see two of her friends smiling at her. Noelle and Lily wore elegant flowy dark purple bridesmaid dresses which only made Isabelle tear up even more.
"Holy crap this is actually happening." Isabelle laughed nervously as she ran her hands along the sides of her dress. A knot had formed in her stomach as everything started to set in. "Oh my merlin, I am getting married." Isabelle said with fear. What if something happens, what if this was a mistake. Isabelle loved Remus but why was she so scared to get married.
"It's scary isn't it?" Noelle chuckled, coming up to Isabelle and dusting off a small piece of dirt off the dress "I was scared too. But it'll all go away the moment you start down the aisle, it all just disappears the moment you see him. I promise."
Isabelle nodded as she took a deep breath. Everything was going great so she had no reason to worry. There was a knock on the door which startled Isabelle.
"Who is it?" Lily asked as her and Noelle attempted to get in front of Isabelle to hide her.
"Only the most handsome man here." James commented from behind the door. Isabelle could almost see his goofy grin on his face.
"That's a lie. Come on in James." Isabelle laughed as Lily chuckled before opening the door. Sure enough James was leaning against the door frame in his grey tux with a large grin.
"If it's not me then who is- Isabelle you look so beautiful!" James squealed like a girl as he ran over and pulled Isabelle into a hug. "Look at how amazing you look. Oh, Remus is totally going to cry when he sees you! I can't wait to-" James continued to gush over Isabelle until Noelle cleared her throat.
"James, that's enough if you keep yelling everyone will hear." Noelle said as she helped Isabelle straighten out her dress. James rubbed the back of his neck as he looked down embarrassed.
"I came to say it was about time to walk. I'm happy to be the one walking the beautiful bride down ,though I am sorry to say your bridesmaid may outshine you." James joked as he sent a wink to Lily. Lily blushed lightly before kissing his cheek and sending a warm smile to Isabelle.
"Looks like we should head out. I will see you out there Izzy." Noelle said giving Isabelle a quick hug before walking out with Lily. Isabelle's heart hammered against her chest as she looked at James, a look of fear still on her face.
"He will be happy to marry me right? I.. I'm scared." Isabelle asked as she looked at the ground. James chuckled as he placed his hands on her shoulders. Isabelle looked up to see a smiling James Potter.
"He doesn't shut up about you. He loves you and I know he has been waiting for this day for awhile now." James replies making Isabelle smiles at his words. Confidence slowly started to build up as she gave him a small nod.
"Okay let's go." She followed James out of the room. One by one Isabelle watched her bridesmaids and groomsmen walk through the doors leading to where Remus was. James held out his arm and Isabelle took it as they both walked through the doors. Isabelle tightly held the purple rose bouquet in her hands as she looked to the front of the room to see Remus' in his black tux and hair neatly slicked back, a look of awe covered his face. Isabelle felt all the nerves go away and turn into butterflies as she looked at him. He looked so handsome.
