I saw them. They kissed.
I thought she was trying to get back at me for being an ass but no. She truly likes Wil. He's a good guy. He won't hurt her. I ran home. I layed in bed disappointed. My mom has her number so I'll call her later. See how her date went. Probably well because they kissed.
It was starting to get a little dark so I went out for a walk. In the distance, I saw her walking. She sat on the bench she sat on when we first met. It wasn't the best encounter I realize. But it was nice in my mind. I walked up to her. " hey. " I smiled. "hey, are you okay? I saw you outside papa's," she asked sympathetically. "yeah I'm alright." I lied. I sat next to her. "oh shit I forgot." she said. "what?" I asked letting out a laugh. "Drew's at my house. She's staying over and I was supposed to get her pizza," she said walking in the direction of papa's.
"okay I'll go with you. It's getting dark. " I said catching up to her. "so? I've walked this dark outside before." she said sassily. "okay but it's dangerous out here in California. " I told. "alright fine let's go." she said "Corey you seem like you'd be good to your future girlfriend but I don't really like you in that way" she replied. I looked at her. I stopped her. "Dany, I would love you like no other guy would. If you just let me-" I tried to convince her but she interrupted. "no. I like Wil. He likes me and he doesn't hoe around with girls all the time." she said with anger slipping through her lips with every word. "okay. Uh, I'm gonna go home. " I said knowing she was mad at me. "no wait I'm sorry Corey I didn't mean to hurt you." she tried but I didn't listen. I walked off.
Dani
I can't believe I just said that to him. I feel so heartless. I walked into papa's and ordered a pepperoni pizza. The lady handed me the box and I payed. "thank you. " I said. "no problem. Have a good night." she said as she walked to the back. I walked out and began my way home.
Once I arrived I walked to my room. Drew was passed out on a sleeping bag on the ground. I shook her awake. "hey drew sorry I'm late. Here's the pizza." I whispered. "okay hold on. " she said all groggy. She tried getting up but she didn't have much strength yet. We both started giggling. "take your time. I'm gonna go give someone a call. " I said walking downstairs to use the phone. "okay I'll be here." she replied.
' I was at the counter thinking about I wanted to say. Contemplating even calling. I eventually picked up the phone. I dialled the number and waited as the phone rang. "hello? " he said sheepishly "hey. I-" but he interrupted. "Daniella I'm trying to sleep," Corey said clearly annoyed that I was calling. "I'm sorry. You were being nice and I fucked up. It was an instinct. I'm so used to being mean that one moment I strayed from that path and realized at the wrong time." I said apologetically. "look it's okay. I'm really tired. I'll talk to you tomorrow? " he said. "can you come over? " I asked before he could hang up. He paused a long while. "sure." he said and He hung up.
I walked upstairs and found drew on her third slice. "oh my god how long have I been gone? " I asked shocked. Her mouth still full of food. "about. " she checked her watch. "15 minutes" she munched harder. "okay well Um Corey is coming over," I said. She finished chewing. "ugh why? " she said dragging out the word in an annoyance. "I um- I don't know I just wanted him here," I said realizing I didn't have a reason.
I put two slices of pizza in a plastic container and shoved them into the fridge. When I started my walk upstairs there was a knock at the door. My mom wasn't home and wouldn't be until 7:00 or 8:30 am. So that's why I didn't hesitate to invite Corey over. I opened the door and hugged Corey so tight. "wow what a warm welcome considering you hate me." he said eventually hugging back. "not anymore." I said. "so you still got some pizza? " he asked pulling away. "yeah but drew is gonna eat it all so let's go!" I said pulling him inside and closing the door.
We ran upstairs and into my room. Drew was on her fifth slice and there were 3 left. "hey drew Coreys here uhh give him some pizza and I'll get one. " I told her. "okay can you get me some water? " she asked me. Corey and I went downstairs to get her water. When I reached in the fridge I pulled a water bottle out. When I turned around and closed the fridge door Corey put his hands around my hips and pulled me closer.
"Corey what are-" he didn't let me finish. He kissed me. I kissed back. I felt genuine sparks and it felt so right to kiss him. He picked me up and my legs went right around his waist. My hands all in his hair. "Dany my water please!" drew yelled from upstairs. I let go of Corey. "Woah. " was all that slipped through my lips. He smirked. "I told you if you let me love you, you'd have the ride of your life," he said kissing me one more time and putting me down. I couldn't stop smiling.
